Will Dick Grayson do a better job than Bucky Barnes in the battle of replacement? Will Batman out sell Captain America now?

Doesn't Batman typically outsell Captain America anyway? Doesn't seem like a fair comparison.

That said, Bucky's storylines have been great. I hope Dick is put into equally compelling narratives.

I enjoyed RIP, but it in no way compares to the epic that was The Winter Soldier/Death of Captain America storyline. But I love both ideas and am in no hurry to see either Steve or Bruce return and I haven't missed an issue of Captain America since 1982.

It's too soon to tell.

The other item of note is that Dick Grayson will be appearing in no less than 3 books as the main character, and maybe 8 as a supporting character.

Bucky appears in 2. Captain America and New Avengers.

We'll have to watch characterization across the books, as well as compare different stories.

But, Marvel did an excellent job making Bucky into a compelling Captain America.

I wish Dick luck during his time in cowl, but the replacement of Steve Rogers by Bucky Barnes has turned out to be one of the best replacements of a character since Barry Allen became the Flash.

So it will be a tough act to match.
