You have two choices. Either name something useless, or chose an item a previous poster has already named as useless and "defend" it, vigorously, as "not useless".

I'll start with two (instead of just one) just so whoever follows up starts with a real choice. Remember, you can either name more things you think are useless, or defend one of these.

I used to practice writing my name, drawing basic shapes, etc. My parents used to accuse me of being a monkey for it. I found the pinky helped steady the pencil.

People who lose their hands have done a lot better with it than I ever did though.
