totally dark brown hair and whenever I'm lazy and grow my beard, my 'stache and chinwhiskers are almost totally silver-gray, while the facial hair on the sides are totally brown... most of the time I'm usually clean-shaven...

Yeah the blonde/red thing can be tough to nail down I know that in certain lighting conditions redheads look like blondes in the sunlight, or is that dark blondes who look like redheads?

It use to be light brown, but it's gotten dark enough where it can be mistaken for black.
Are you asking if the carpet matches the drapes?
Well the sun does have an effect on hair color...but to keep things simple...yes.

I chose brunette but it depends on time of year. In the winter it's a lot darker (and it's already pretty dark) and in the summer I have some killer natural red highlighs. My mother has raven black and my father dishwater blond. Somehow I ended up with mine. I've learned not to question these things anymore.
Ahem. That's on the head. You'll have to wonder about carpet forever.

I know it's weird. I think it's on account of both my Scottish and Irish heritage.
Blonde all the way, yeah!
Ok, let me make add an amendem to the rules....every one but Bree and Melissa, what is your natural hair color?
the closest I could vote was raven black, although with sun, water, girlstress and age, it's kinda closer to black-brown-somegreyish.

The real question (http://xkcd.com/508/) is if they match the upholstery.
hmmm, no redheads have chimed in yet, does this mean we've only got one on the entire board, or is it there can be only one?

Slightly dark red, curly, and much of it (haven't even had a haircut since either late '06 or early '07).

Well then Beast, I guess Gail is going to have to challenge you, here at Yabs there can be only one.
Bree, we need a Gail Kurgan sketch, make it happen.

I think you've also forgotten about WhiteRose!
Actually, I had, fact I didn't realize she was a redhead
Still there aren't very many of them here at YABS, so all the more reason for highlander references.
So will do a Whiterose Kurgan sketch, that might work even better.

Blacker than the blackest black times infinity.
The technical term for it is infrablack. It can be seen quite easily under experimental conditions. To perform the experiment simply select a healthy brick wall with a good runup, and, lowering your head, charge. The color that flashes in bursts behind your eyes, behind the pain, just before you die, is infrablack.
My hair is dark brown, and my facial hair growns blonde, red, and brown.

While mine is usually varying shades of brown, it can get really dark at times, and once in a great rare while, I get a lone white hair and have since I was a kid. When I grow what laughably passes for a beard (Cherokee genes - just can't do it right), half of it is blond.

Don't make me post a picture of my three inch chest scare surrounded in a thick layer of Assyrian chest hair. That said I got lucky. I have no ill effects from my surgery and my scar did not grow as I did. I know some poor bastards that look like they got mauled by a bear because their scar stretched as they grew from a baby to an adult.

It used to be a chestnut brown (brown, with red highlights). As I age, my hair color has gotten darker and lost some of the red highlights---and of course, I've gotten some grey (well, silver, yay! love silver) as well.
Most of the time, I don't like the salt-and-pepper look on myself, so I dye it. Once it goes mostly silver, I'll probably revert back to natural color (though I may still dye it on occasion---dying your hair can be fun!). My grandmother has the most beautiful silvery-white hair you've ever seen... I hope mine greys out just like hers.

My hair is red, but tends to bleach more to a strawberry blonde if I'm out in a lot of sunlight. (I work outside on weekends.) I'm also developing those Reed Richards white temples as I get older.

My hair is normally dark brown but is much lighter in summer, especially if it is cut short as I tend to have little blonde streaks at the front. My hair is wavy but when I was very young I had curly blonde hair but it went auburn then light brown before turning darker.
