The first thought that popped into my mind after seeing this cover:
"If there's something strange
in your neighborhood
Who ya gonna call?
GHOSTBUSTERS"

If one of the Bat-family picks up a cricket mallet or an LP record, I will put the comic down, applaud, then go back to reading it.

They're flamethrowers. Notice the tanks on Dick's costume and the small devices attached to Tim's 2 guns.

Didn't mean those, I meant the guns strapped to Dick and Tim's back... Which clearly aren't flamethrowers.

I think you're mistaken... Every last one of those is a flame thrower....

I dunno, some of them really look like they could go either way, but on closer inspection I'm seeing things that look like gas tanks on them... So I'm just going to assume they're flamethrowers to put my mind at ease. ;)
This is a good example of why posting at half 3 in the morning is a bad idea.

about the guns----- it wouldnt be killing if they are fighting zombies, ie the anitmated corpses. it's a way to slwo them down.
but hey of they kill zombies, it's not like killing a human being.

now that i think about it..........only bruce has trepidations for using a gun. to him it's sign of weakness, since that is the easy way out...ie killing people. on the other hand it's symble of what made him and it's a mix of sorrow and fury.
now......dick and tim wont have the same reservations, as they were not directly affected by a gun as bruce, but rather beleive it is the easy way out as well.
so the "robins" shooting zombies warmed with power rigns isnt that out of character.

Ah, I missed those.
......did the "no guns" ban affect Dick and Tim anyway?
And I guess the "given the circumstances it's ok" rule could come into place here too.

So ... Dick won't use rope for fear of it being sabotaged with a razor ... and Tim refuses to use boomerangs and voodoo?

i see the logic, ive set it up for that argument. but what im saying is that it's built in the batman mythos about bruce not using a gun. i wish i could give you the specific comics, but i remeber how batman has expressed his specific distate for guns. how they have affected his life (obviously) in such a way that he refused to sue them...until FC.
that's what i was trying to convey, where as the toehrs havent really expressed any emotions towards specific objects. remember for a while joe chill never "existed" as he was never caught. Dark Victory specifically says the killer ws never caught....the status quo until morrision's rip. now rip's joe chill may be symbolic, or just a hallucination.....
bottom line is that dick and tim can focus thier emotions on specific people, and bruce had to do that to an object and a genralization of the idea, "criminal"
