Here is an interview with Phil Morris.
One of the reasons I am bringing it up is because it shows that he is really a comic book fan. I think it is cool to see people like that working on comic book projects.
The second thing is I find it interesting a black man is playing jonah hex.

You apparently haven't heard those really bad English dubs anime geeks always complain about.

True anime geeks choose sub over dub.

Screw that! I'll admit that a lot of anime dubs suck, but there are a few animes that I will ONLY watch in english, just because of the powerful voice acting.

True anime geeks choose sub over dub.
And it's often because of bad experiences.

I ran into Morris once at Comic-Con, and what a great guy. He was there as a fan, looking for old issues of MAGNUS, ROBOT FIGHTER.
Just a complete sweetheart, and really into the material. And he was Jackie Chiles on SEINFELD!
Glad to see him getting positive attention.

NRAMA: Was there any favorite cartoons?
PM:: Jonny Quest was absolutely huge, which is why I’m so glad to be playing Doc Saturday on the Secret Saturdays. It’s very much like Jonny Quest meets Herculoids.
Ok, this guy remembers the Herculoids. He just rocks now.

if I remember correctly, Phil Morris was John Jones, the Martian Manhunter, on Smallville, as well...

Don't get me started on foreigners attempting Australian accents in cartoons.

While no morris wasn't J'ohn he was wizard Grant Collier (son of Barney Collier, who was played in the original series by Morris' real-life father Greg Morris). He also has strong ties to Star Trek with his first acting role was as a child when he appeared in the 1966 Star Trek episode "Miri". Star Trek was, at the time, shot at the same studio that produced Mission: Impossible, where his father was working. He made his feature film debut in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock in a small role and later guest-starred on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager. He is also Doc Saturday on the Secret Saturdays.
While no morris wasn't J'ohn ....
No, you are mistaken.
Morris did indeed play J'onn on an episode of the series Smallville.
He was quite good in it too.

Damnit I got it confused with JLU. You are correct.
To imitate the late chris farley: STUPID STUPID STUPID.

I met him today, and he was not just a really strikingly handsome guy, but one of the nicest people I've met in ages. And man, does he know his comics!
He;s got a huge collection and was just a joy to speak with. Great, great guy.

correction... on a quite a few episodes of Smallville... and I liked the 1980's updated Mission Impossible series that Phil starred in along with Jane Badler... Diana from V... whatever happened to her, btw?... she just totally vanished from the public eye...

I think that the 1980's version of Mission Impossible is one of the decades forgotten gems.
The scripts were good fun and witty, and they managed to bring the show back on the air after 10 years while still capturing the flavor of the original.

and I think the only reason is got on TV was because of the writer's strike back then... ABC needed something to put on... I don't think it was originally going to make the cut, but the strike gave it a fighting chance, and it went on for 2 seasons...

Saw the episode of Brave & Bold and thought Hex character was terrific. He should definitely be brought back for more, hopefully next time in full Wild West setting with Bat Lash, El Diablo, etc.
Besides...everyone knows a bra must fit over skin to fit, like a glove!

I had no idea Phil Morris played Jackie Chiles in Seinfeld.
One of my favorite characters in the series and I watched it loads o times and I never associated the two.
