I have been out of comics for the past year and ive picked up most of the back issues for RIP and Last Rites and just read all the BFTC stuff. And i have a few questions and just some stuff thats pissing me off now i may be missing some stuff which is why i could be lost in some places.
1) In all the issues of RIP that i read i never see Bruce get killed, am i missing like one huge issue or is it all still up in the air.
2) Why does Dick not want tim as his robin?
I was really freaking ticked that tim drake isnt going to be nightwings robin. I personally would rather see tim in the cowl. But i have a mancrush on Tim the issue where batman is racing to save tims father and falls short but adopts him is one of the more moving issues ive ever read.
3) Red Robin was Jason Todd sometime in the past?
4) In BFTC Dick plays Bruce's message for jason, in any other issues do we get to see what he says to everyone else. And why did bruce not want Dick to wear the cowl?
5) In outsiders 11-12 the outsider they lay to rest is batman?
6) Why did bruce tell spoiler Tim is going to have to carry on without me? What all did he tell spoiler?
7) Does robin #175 come in a variant of any sort that is one of the best covers i have ever seen.
8) In all the Penguin/2 face gang territory war, where is joker at while all this is going on ?
I could be asking stupid questions but im just looking for some answers if you could help me out id appreciate it

1. Batman's fate is revealed in Final Crisis, not RIP.
2. Going by what was said in Red Robin #1, Dick sees Tim as his equal, not a sidekick or a protege.
3. Yes, Jason Todd was once Red Robin. As was Dick.
4. In a Batman and the Outsiders Special, they show Bruce's message to Alfred.
8. Joker was run off of a bridge (I believe it was a bridge) in RIP, by Damian (in the Batmobile) while driving an ambulance.

Well, just to get geeky and technical, our Dick Grayson (the one that is currently Batman) hasn't worn the costume. Dick Grayson in the alternate future mini-series "Kingdom Come" became Red Robin. However, the "Kingdom Come" universe is now Earth-22 in the current DC multiverse.

I knew that would bite me in the ass, haha. Thanks for clearing that up.
And Spectacular Spider-Man avatars! High five!

No, it was Remac.

I don't remember this. Where did it happen?

Not that I'm aware of.
Spoiler was set with the task of (covertly) toughening up Tim Drake in the last issues of Robin.

1) In all the issues of RIP that i read i never see Bruce get killed, am i missing like one huge issue or is it all still up in the air.
RIP is sort of the death of Batman, not necessarily Bruce. Fortunately Bruce had a fail safe in his mind, sort of a "backup" Batman and thats how the Batman of Zurr En Aarth (sp?) was born.
I vaguely remember an interview where Grant mentioned he did in fact intend for Bruce to "die" in RIP but that instead they switched it so he ended up dying in Final Crisis. It was a bit of a continuity mess at first, but after the Last Rites issues of Batman Morrison tied it all together nicely.
Because Dick sees Tim as an equal, not a protege. It wouldn't feel right to have Tim as his junior partner, plus he thinks the experience will help Damien
3) Red Robin was Jason Todd sometime in the past?
During Countdown. It was given to Jason by a Batman from another reality who had killed all of his enemies. This reality's Batman's Jason had died and he gave our Jason the Red Robin costume. Jason promptly throws it into the trash at the end of Countdown (breaking my heart in the process fyi)
4) In BFTC Dick plays Bruce's message for jason, in any other issues do we get to see what he says to everyone else. And why did bruce not want Dick to wear the cowl?
In the Outsiders special we hear Bruce's message to Alfred (very touching and well done imo, check it out). Other than that those are the only two messages shown in the comics.
It seems like Bruce told Nightwing not to wear the cowl because he feels Dick is his own man, with his own established identity and is capable of holding down the fort as simply Nightwing (along with Tim as Robin of course).
5) In outsiders 11-12 the outsider they lay to rest is batman?
No, that was Remac. Scientist trapped in advanced Omac body.
6) Why did bruce tell spoiler Tim is going to have to carry on without me? What all did he tell spoiler?
This was refering to his "death" in RIP. One of those "just in case" messages when he sensed the Black Glove closing around him.
7) Does robin #175 come in a variant of any sort that is one of the best covers i have ever seen.
Don't think so.
8) In all the Penguin/2 face gang territory war, where is joker at while all this is going on ?
I don't think he's resurfaced since we saw him going over the bridge in RIP.

No problem. Hope I helped.

Yeah, no problem, wasn't trying to call you out. Haha. Just didn't want to confuse Bat_Fan2232 if they didn't know about "Kingdom Come".
Oh yeah, big high five for Spectacular Spider-Man avatars! Glad they finally announced the 2nd season for the U.S. Even though I've seen it through other means, can't wait to watch it again.

I really think you're misremembering. To the contrary, Morrison insisted that RIP ended exactly as he always intended it to. He never intended Bruce to literally die in this storyline (and said that from the very beginning). It was Dan Didio who was "inspired" by the RIP title and instructed Morrison to truly kill him in Final Crisis.

He isn't legally dead, Bruce Wayne that is.
