View Full Version : Who are these superheroes on some old fabric? Are they from old comics?

I've been going through things of recently deceased parents and have come across loads of fabric, some of the novelty kind. I have found this one with two superheroes on it but I can not identify them, can anybody tell me who they are? I imagine they must have been from a third or fourth party comic book company in the 70s but they have no identifiers on them. Perhaps they are just a generic superhero design sold at fabric stores with no actual comic but I would hope this is not the case. Here are some pics:

Those aren't any pre-existing characters; just fabric designs that exist for their decorative properties.

However, the fact that one of 'em bears a big "N" on his chest suggests to me that the artist may be a person named Nicky Zann, who specialied in designing this sort of comic book fabric back in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Aloha,

Scott!

Looks like some generic super heroes to me. Probably never used aside from these sheets.

Anyone else see Adams swipes in there?

I wouldn't call them swipes exactly. Pretty much every comic artist who tried for realism in their superhero art adopted the Adams style anatomy. It's pretty much the norm now.

Plus actual Adams poses would be a lot more dramatic than that.
