So far I'm sold. I liked Dustin Nguyen's art regardless, but it feels a little more hybrid pulp/noir/anime now. But anyway ... Gordon's POV gets passed to Harley's POV and Harley has a run-in with Dick and Damian ... very nice so far.
I wonder who the big man talking to the little girl who's getting turned out is, but I have a feeling it's either a known quantity like Clayface or it's the new guy, "Abuse".
And that same feeling tells me he's going to kill all of those scumbags.

I'm a little disappointed at the Harley release retred. I know it was used in B:TAS, but didn't that happen in comics too already?
But we'll see. I do like the art. And who it the guy planning to knife the pimp? HE interests me.

Same here. The way he's asking her the question it does look like he's take out the other guys there.
The scenes with Harley took me back. All the memories of B:TAS came to mind and even her voice actor entered my head.
I wonder how close Streets and Sirens will be since Dini is writing both.

The art feels different. But it's a promising preview. Really looking forward to this series!

Wow... Who'd ever thought Robin would end up becoming the 'Bad Cop' to Batman's 'Good Cop'?

For a second I thought that was Tim Drake, I got to use to the Batman and Robin visual of Damian.

This looks great. At first I was more excited about Red Robin than this, but now that I see the previews, this may be second after Batman and Robin

I like the preview for this, I think I'll pick this up as the 3rd Batman book.

If nothing else I'm glad I've found something to like about Damian. That one panel where he threatened to cut Harley's tongue out is just brilliant...
This looks interesting, and probably the one Bat-book I'd be willing to give a try out of the recent releases. But I hope Harley won't become a main character... Isn't she already quite prominant in Sirens?

This sounds and looks awesome. Paul dini's detective comics run is superb so I knew I would love this title.
Can we edit the Thread to state discussion as well?

Looks good. Might have to check this out.
Ahhh
I love Dustin's art. I'm excited to have him as a regular artist on a book again.
My only complaint is: Shouldn't the exterior of Damian's cape be yellow?

It also shouldn't have scallops... eh, Nguyen is really good, hopefully he'll catch those details sooner than later.

The art looks really good here. I jus hope they limit the amount of characters crossing over in this book and Sirens! I'd hate to feel like I'm reading the same book twice! Hopefully the tone of the two books will be noticablely different.

Dini loves havinf JET BLACK haired girls/women in his comics. Like his wife misty lee and Zatanna.
"She's annoying. May I cut out her tongue?"
SOLD!
Although i hope they sort out the text mistake - "How are old are you." Still time to fix it?
There's also a Sirens preview now - i'm not really impressed with it.

This looks really good! After Batman and Robin #1, I like the look of this the most out of any of the Batman: Reborn books.
The writing's good. The transfer from Gorden's POV to Harley's POV was seamless. I like the art, too. Only problem with it, is Damian looks like Tim.

This is looking pretty awesome. I liked Nguyen's work on "Detective" but this looks a little different, but even better! I really like how he drew Damian and kept Dick in the shadows in their brief appearance. And of course Dini is a lock for some solid stories. Definitely looking forward to this book.
I'm even preparing for the co-feature in this book. I never got into reading "Manhunter" but I just picked up the complete series on eBay for a pretty good price so I could catch up on that character.
One thing I'm wondering in general about Dick being Batman, who from the rogue's gallery is going to notice the change under the cowl? Seems like Harley didn't pick up on it in this preview. But obviously she's going to being hanging out with Catwoman (who knows), so it's going to be interesting to see who else finds/figures it out.

My thought exactly. This really needs to be addressed.

Yeah he does look a little too old in that one close up panel we get here. Although that's pretty ironic if you think about it because the one knock I always saw about Nguyen's work on "Detective" was that he always drew Tim like he was 10 years old.

Shit, I didn't want to pick up another book but that preview was just too good

Hmmm... Not what I was expecting... I thought it would like GCPD... Ya know normal people interacting with the bizzare world of Batman... I really hope it just doesn't switch between the minor Batman characters and touches on more normal people...

Preview? at seven pages it's almost a 1/3 of the book!
surprised to see Harlequin there but good news nonetheless. also glad that Dini isn't shying away from using Damian
the comment about Tommy Elliot is interesting, what exactly is Gordon referring to here?

That was Dick, not Gordon. It's from "The Heart of Hush", where at the end Catwoman had a few of her... friends, basically clean out his entire fortune. This seems to be Harley's share.

Took me a second, but as far as the art goes I think it all looks great besides the cape issue. Couple of cool scenes there, too. I knew back when Damian did his Tim impression that'd he'd make a good Robin.

I meant what exactly did Harley do to earn her share....

Rob a bank.....
Actually, based on the background of the image, it seems she broke into his house and robbed his personal vault.
