Sally Blevins was a Morlock who fell in love with a Ginger boy named Rusty Collins and hung out with X-Factor and later became a member of the New Mutants. Together, they survived the Mutant Massacre, numerous kidnap attempts by Freedom Force, Demon Invasions, Rusty going to prison for burning a hooker, brainwashing by Stryfe, and MANY MORE!

Although her relationship with Rusty was one of the most true/special in the X-world, Skids hasn't only been defined by her time with Fire-Fist. Since Rusty's death at the hands of Holocaust, Skids has gone to college, joined X-Corps, grown out her hair and then had it styled in an unfortunate manner, thrown herself at Apocalypse's "love potion", and been a Shield Double Agent with the Morlocks again.

Sally has the mutant ability to create force fields that keep her (and others of her choosing) safe from harm. She has recently been seen to be able to create constructs out of these forcefields as well.

She's got a fantastic power set. She's got great hair. She's got an interesting plot twist with the whole feeding info to Our Lord Magneto. She's getting her life back in order and is poised to step back into the lime light. One thing she lacks, in fact, I'd even say it's holding her back.....yea. It's her code-name.

Sally Blevins the orphaned pretty morlock is recognized by the unfortunate Code-Name of Skids.

What's a girl to do????

Hisako Ichiki is "Armor" Sally doesn't really need a codename... Like "Jean Grey" she never has bothered to hide her identity.

Oh, and if it's true that she can form constructs out of her force field now, then that sucks. Why do all characters have to develop an "omni-range" of uses with their powers? Why can't they stay "specialists" in certain aspects like Karma who only has mind-possession abilities and isn't a full-blown TP. It's one thing to allow Cannonball to be able to release his "blast stream" through his hands like a power beam, but I just never liked how he was given conscious control over his force field to manipulate.

Isn't that the name of a popular form of sexual lubricant?

ID Glide.

In Spain she is "Desliza". I do not have any problem with that one, although I do not know how an American may pronounce it...

I understand your point of view on this... But, isn't the point of Xavier's training to maximize the use of budding mutants powers? Now, I can agree that it has gone far over board specifically with the "second mutation" bull$#!+ or the need to catapult some charterers into the spotlight by giving them powers just to compete with a peer that under normal circumstances they would have no chance in hell of competing with even with a third mutation.

Yea, simple was better in the beginning.

Nothing wrong with this codename.

Louise Simonson, Sally's creator, loved including messages for the kid readers.

In this case, always wash Your underwear.

Even more ironic that Skids lived in the sewers with Morlocks, then.

What is it with characters with force fields. They either have crappy code-names or no code-name at all(Cecilia Reyes). I kinda like "Skids" myself. Mostly for nostalgia sake. My suggestion is Hull. Still kinda dull sounding, but . . .

KY or Lubricant-X.

When Rusty comes back to life, his code name shall be Ginger Boy.

You want to codename her after a fluoropolymer? Specifically one that can be scratched with any common kitchen utensil? Surely you jest:confused:

I like the logic, but they already have a Virgo in the Zodiac.
