Does anyone know what issues had Bruce's last messages to the various members of the Bat family?
Dick?
Tim?
Jason? (Battle for the Cowl 3 right?)
Cassandra?
Alfred?
The Outsiders?
Catwoman?
Also what were the messages?
Thanks.

The BATMAN AND THE OUTSIDERS Special that followed FINAL CRISIS began Pete Tomasi's run on OUTSIDERS contained Bruce's message to Alfred, which I thought was pretty sweet.
He thanked Alfred for basically being his father for most of his life and said "Bye, dad." Then moved onto the business of instructing how the Outsiders would be set up in his absence.
Yeah, the message left for Alfred was actually pretty touching, and pretty damn sensable if you think about it.
But I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the 'last messages' play out somewhere else.
Maybe Tim's could be in the first few issues of RR.
Not sure where any of the others would appear though..

If Alfred is like Bruce's father then would Leslie Thompkins be like his mother? She was there for him right after his parents death and all.

I now feel compelled to pick up the Batman and the Outsiders Special. The Alfred message sounds awesome.
I know his message to Dick was telling him not to become Batman, but I don't think we ever actually saw the message, unless I missed it.
We saw his message to Jason in Battle for the Cowl #3.
I assume, or hope rather, that we will see Tim's in the pages of Red Robin.

DC should put all the messages on their website or on The Source.

Given Tim's insistance that Bruce isn't dead, I'd love it if Bruce's message basically hinted at that, or at least (since that sounds a bit too "evil") gives Tim cause to interpret it as he's still alive somewhere out there.

Maybe a big Collected Edition of Battle for the Cowl with all the tie ins and some special pages dedicated solely to Bruce's final messages?

Y'know, I'd actually recommend that issue, even though I haven't cared for what followed it. (Nice Kubert art too.)

I believe you're right.

Given that Bruce would've recorded the message before going out to face the problem the JLA alerted him of (Orion's death) I doubt his message could contain any such hint. Unless of course Bruce is actually prescient and his lauded detective skills are really based upon a previously unknown ability to see the future! (anyway, wouldnt such a thing undermine the whole `natural detective' premise of the Tim Drake character?)
I've always assumed Bruce rerecords potential `last messages' to his various family members at every available opportunity, so they'll always be a fairly up-to-date message available should he ever die on a mission. And that these messages we've been seeing/hinted at are merely an example of that. You know, the basic `think ahead' preparedness that is the core of his personality.

She was never there in the same way Alfred was, she's more like an aunt.
