I think this is going to be a good one! I'm a big Beta Ray fan. Stormbreaker was good except for the last iss Spidey appearance and SI Beta Ray I did like.
The same writer as SI Beta Ray is doing this, I'm happy!

Seems like they are doing ol'Bill justice. The last few pages reminded me...what happened to the Beast-lovin' Brand had going on?

Brand is sassy! I think I like her already.
Go, Bill, go! Kicks some cosmic planet-eater ass!
*spazz* Can't wait!
EDIT: Fffffffffffff.... didn't see the other one for this. D= (I'm in a hurry for work, okay?)
ED, feel free to merge, delete, wh'ever.

Let me guess, another series where Big G is punk'd! They might as well have Rulk punch Galactus.

What's with Marvel having kick butt characters acting stupid?
Bill wanting to take down Galactus, Ronan surrendering like a little sissy, and Doom having a master.
It seems like we have somehow jumped into universe 617 without knowing it.
Why wouldn't Beta Ray Bill want to take down Galactus?

Why wouldn't Beta Ray Bill want to take down Galactus?
Because he is not stupid.
Like my post says.

i am exicted but man i wish the art was not as cheery. its so bright and over the top with colour when this is obviously a darker book being that its about bill avenging the loss of his entier speices, but its still so bright and poppy. poor choice i think.

Whatever even happened to Bill's alter ego? I seem to recall at the end of StormBreaker he changed his costume and could turn into a human.

What's really sad is the speech by Thor , who actually never had problems facing Galactus (or the Celestials), driving him away from Ego and threatening his life in a memorable Kirby-plotted and drawn comic.
Though given that the whole concept of Galactus is a clusterf*ck of horribly misunderstood Evolution catchphrases with what basically is Intelligent Design, the "It is against Nature" phrase, so much in use among religion driven partisans of the latter, is singularly appropriate.
I'm sure the mini will end up with another lame explanation of the reason why Galactus is needed in the Marvel Universe.

I'm not liking the art in the least. Man I really was considering picking this up, but now it is gonna have to be a no.

It was promptly forgotten in 'Secret Invasion: Thor'.
Some people speculate that when Thor freed all the Asgardians en masse way back in #6 of his own book, he "freed" Bill from Simon Walters (and in turn, the Realm of the Great Beasts where he was trapped), but nothing official has been said.

I'm really looking foward to this series and really hoping they can bring him to the forefront of Marvel Cosmic like DnA have done with so many other cahracters recently

I have to agree, specially in regard to Thor. Did anyone else notice he acted like a happy teenager in his thirteen? Not to say "has mightier blow e'er been struck"... vs a giantic mass of water? Havent those guys fought thinks way more deadly (for their power levels)... That is like a human that JUST got the power of gods speaking, not like a millenniums old god. And that totally miss the charm of the characters, while for us that is the end, for them it is like one of the "things i can do while reading a book and watching tv", yet they go and help in time those who can't defend themselves on their own. And just to finish "i cannot pretend to understand the loss"... as if every single Asgardian hadn't die in the Ragnarok. For quite some time for Thor they were confirmed dead to never rise again, it is completely senseless to say he doesn't know how it feels.

Well thank god for that then!

Yeah.
IIRC, Mike Oeming had a whole subplot that would happen in Omega Flight (when it was still to be an ongoing) where Simon/Bill would meet Simon's mother. Other than that, not much is known about what would have been done with him.
Not that it makes much of a difference: we've only seen Bill's mortal alter-ego (his Korbinite body) maybe a few times over the last few years and even then he rarely ever reverts back (unless forced).
But yeah, even though I feel Simon had some potential, I'm glad it's back to the status quo in that regard.
A. BRB should not have anything against Galactus and should know that it will be a near impossibility to carry out his plan. BUT, that's what great stories are about.....
B. Blair Butler should be happy about this. (she's a fan of BRB)
C. Did they just save a japanese whaling ship? BOOOO!!!!

The ship, and apparently a lot of cities on the coast, imagine if that had continued its course.
