View Full Version : Final Crisis: Run 2 Discussion
This continues to be a fun series. Highlights include:
The Human Flame tossing corgis into a pool. They deserved it.
An unarmed Human Flame versus Heatwave!
General Immortus's Legion of Z-listers featuring people like the Condiment King and Mr. Polka-Dot. And those are the guys you might have heard of before.
Finally, the Human Flame gets an upgrade, with a very painful price.

Sportsmaster was another one we'd heard of before.
Immortus also name-dropped Professor Milo (an old Batman foe who, at least in B:TAS, had a hand in the creation of Man-Bat) too.

I will wait for the trade now, Just can't afford this now. But it does look awesome.
Trivia. Mr polka dot was created by mcduffie. We have never see him until now but he was mentioned in an issue of JLA sometime last year.

The Corgi-toss and the line "You don't need your gall-bladder, do you ? Because I could really use the space" were my favorite parts !

He also was the scientist behind the Man-Wolf villain from Detective Comics !

He actually dates back to Detective Comics 300 (http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Detective_Comics_Vol_1_300). He's had a couple appearances since then.

I thought the part when Human Flame was being cut a part and re-wired was awesome. I really liked this issue.

Highly recommended!
You don't have to read Final Crisis to understand this series. It's been the best of the Final Crisis Aftermath series so far, with Ink a close second.
And you can't go wrong with a villainess named Miss Army Knife!
Grade A comic book. Don't let the Final Crisis banner put you off. This one's a keeper!

I just got the hardcover of Final Crisis, and starting to read it.
Wow, it's like trying to read to a kid with ADD. I keep feeling as if there are pages torn out of the damned book.

I liked Final Crisis. Some people didn't, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Please don't turn this into a Final Crisis complaint thread. The topic is "Final Crisis Aftermath: Run #2."
And again, you DON'T have to read Final Crisis to understand this series. Everything you need to know is in there.

I like how the flame throwers are now embedded in his flesh. That'll solve that problem he had with his flame-tanks exploding at the end of #1...
