No reason to bother with it?

The fact it's a good read isn't a reason to bother with it?

So what?
You'd rather a sub-par read that's still going because it's tied in to The Reign of Secret Dark Wars than a great read that isn't?
That's mixed up and muddled!

I didn't mean that I wasn't going to read it at all. All I meant is that I see no immediacy in buying Captain Britain and MI-13 in trade right now as opposed to waiting to get it secondhand off eBay or Amazon for less than the Amazon price. If the book hadn't been canceled by the time the second trade was out, I would have bought the first 2 volumes this month new. But since those sales now longer help keep the book alive, I'd rather save a few dollars and buy the books cheaper later.

I actually don't read any of the giant crossovers or tie-ins other than what ends up in trades of series I'm already reading. I got disgusted with the big crossovers as a kid (when I couldn't afford to buy all books to make the story coherent) and just ignore them.

My only argument is that some books have been brought back by strong trade sales - She-Hulk comes to mind from Marvel.

Smart man.

I'm not surprised this has ben cancelled.

Leonard Kirk's pencils were the best thing about it.

I found the entire series really slow moving and the annual was a completely pointless disaster imo

As for the current issue, who the hell is Killpower anyway? Do we need to know?

Three arcs and a couple of stand alone issues is pretty fast paced these days - and the first two arcs were non-stop action.
Not sure where you pull slow moving from.

Also, rather odd you say you don't like his costume - all they've done is remove the face mask.

As Funky said, you found lots of small story arcs that were fairly well paced 'slow moving'? Kids really don't have any patience these days do they?

'Token ethnic', 'gay little Obama-approved fist punch'. Really, do you need to talk shite like that. You don't like it, and don't get the references Cornell is dropping in, fine, but for fucks sake look at those comments and see how terrible they look.

Old Marvel UK character. You don't need to know much.

The first issue opens with a massive alien invasion, introduces all the cast, hints at a second front, and bumps off Cap (briefly). Slow moving my butt.

But it gets worse - "Apart from Spitfire none of them seemed to get much ‘screen time’ or to interact with each other"? What, you mean apart from all the scenes Blade's had with people, or all the Faiza/Dane stuff? Or Pete and Brian down the pub?

That's not quite as bad as "She gets a stupid surname, Puceanu" (yeah, who'd give a Romani surname to a Romani character, eh?) and "token ethnic female" though.

Also I wish I hadn't looked at that blog entry because I may have spoiled myself on the cliffhanger resolution. Doh!

That's a very good question when the article in question said no religious figure in Ireland was calling for it.

And when the article is not about the UK but is about the Republic of fucking Ireland.

The Irish blasphemy law is an attempt to muzzle newspapers critical of the Catholic Church there. That's mainly whose head it will be dangled over.

I got the Sinestro Corps resolution the other week.

The Green Lanterns looked beaten, and were about to lose, but then they gathered their strength and will power AND THEY WON!
But now new threats are looming on the horizon!

Can any man honestly say he saw any of that coming?

I know!

But now it'll be ten years before the rest is collected because Dan Didio doesn't trust us dirty trade readers...
