Dick Just became the frigging Batman.

and hal is the star of a huge crossover, and this time he is not the villain.

I am biased.

I love these two heroes.

Well, this is probably the zenith of their careers if you've only been reading comics for the last 5 years. Don't get me wrong, I love Green Lantern and the Batman stuff looks great but still...

Not sure if I would say Dick Grayson is at the zenith right now. He just became batman, but he hasnt done anything as batman. If he rises to the challenge, gets some goodm quality stories, and pulls off some epic stories I will say yes. but I would argue hes on his way.

And yeah, Hal Jordan is pretty much at his zenith. Johns has spent 40+ issues preparing for Blackest Night and making it as epic as possible. Rebirth did a brilliant job of bringing him back into the game, and sinestro corps war ensured that he is back in the spotlight. Now that the spotlight is really centered on him, its time for him to pull of his biggest challenge. After Blackest Night, I really have no idea where he goes from there. I dont want to say its only going down, but once you have what is being sold as his greatest conflict he cant have another greatest conflict for a while.

Dick Grayson hasn't been anything but Batman-lite since he stopped being Robin.
As Robin, he was the colourful, wise-cracking acrobat who could crack one-liners and heads at the same time. Since becoming Nightwing, he's been the guy you call when Batman's not available who does sorta the same stuff only not quite as good.
Now that he's actually (temporarily) wearing the bat-jammies, expect a short spike in character development followed by another descent into also-ran status.

Yeah I'm biased too. I those are my favorites too. I'm loving DC right now.

Couldn't care less about Golden Boy Hal, but I am excited for Di....Richard. Not walking into that. The whole Bat-revamp, especially Detective, is looking crazy awesome!

I think Dick is getting a bigger spotlight than before but I have to wonder where Morrison and DC are going to go with the character after all is said and done.

Hal's always been hoisted up pretty high by Johns but since its a DCU event rather than a pure GL event it becomes harder to say whether Hal's role will be as big as everyone expects. But who am I kidding, it's Johhs, of course Hal is going to be the most awesomest hero ever!

From being almost killed off in Final Crisis to donning Batman that's one heck of a turnaround for Richard Dick Grayson. And thanks to Geoff Johns, Hal Jordan is at the apex of his popularity in modern Green Lantern times.

It is gonigto bea big year for Hal no matter with blackest light he is sure to get a fari amount of panel time and withthe JL mini.

Not sure that qualifies as his zenith but still a popular year.
