Honestly..
Speedy
Not because of any story or anything.. more because of what stories you could tell with her, as soon as a writer who isn't so obsessed with After school specials gets their hands on her

I just like her..
Despite the fact that she has been written by a hack the last few years and has now suddenly "gone missing"..

1- Batman: When a non-powered human uses his skills and resources to hang with the JLA you know he has serious Mojo.
2- Black Adam: A champion, turned villain, turned hero, turned champion, turned villain.... Totally pawns any other would be Earth based despot.
3- Superman: Has some of the most important and well written stories in DC. While I don't like Superman as a character per se, his stories make him such an interesting read.
4- Green Lantern (Hal): The ultimate in seeking redemption. I actually came to like Hal after his big screw up.
5- Lucifer: Not too often seen in normal continuity but his stand alone stories are well written. That and the fact that I'm a mythology buff.

Captain Marvel has (to me) always been the absolute epitome of what a superhero is all about.
After that, I really like Green Lantern (Alan Scott) and The Flash (Jay Garrick).
Beyond that, you've got Wildcat, Adam Strange and The Challengers of the Unknown.

who is(are) your favourite character(s)?
The list shuffles from day to day and a lot depends on the writer...
that said, consistently in my top five are:
1) Hal Jordan/Green Lantern and the rest of the GLC- I know, throwing the entire corps in there as well is probably cheating, but I really do like the whole concept. As for Hal himself, I love the test pilot man of action attitude. I am so glad Johns helped to salvage him.
2) Nightwing/Dick Grayson- I used to really dislike Dick when he was Robin, but the 80s titans run opened my eyes a bit, and then his transformation into Nightwing sold me completely. Dick is a genuinely nice guy, when written right, and is far more personable than his mentor and a better leader imo.
3) Deadman/Boston Brand- I'm not sure why. Maybe it's how often he's portrayed as this down to Earth guy (doubly ironic, given his former profession and his current state) while involved in some truly strange mystical stuff.
4) Blue Devil/Dan Cassidy- Mind you, my favorite version of him was back in his first two years when he was just your everyday stuntman/tech sealed via demonic energies in an exo suit turned into a "Weirdness Magnet". The 'hero in denial' angle was great. I've maintained a fondness for the character despite the evolution of him.
5) Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) and Booster Gold- Because really, they're the two great tastes that go great together, and I mean that in a purely heterosexual big fan kind of way. Each one shines on his own, but the friendship they have is truly heart warming, and chuckle inducing in turn.

My favorite would be beastboy all the way. He's very funny and if he wants to, he can go solo by just changing into a T-rex.
If only he can change into a very deadly virus then he can become the ultimate killing weapon. He can then also change into H1N1 (swine) flu virus. hehe :)

I like Vic Sage. The one and only zen vigilante.
The Huntress. Mafia princess with a crossbow. C'mon.
Janet. She's in The Mighty. She's very cool.
I don't like the Flash per say but I do love the idea of the Flash.
