Dinah is married to Oliver Queen. Siryn has dated Deadpool.
Dinah, thank you for playing.

I feel obligated to participate in this particular vs. thread.
My own personal bias aside, I would have to say that Siryn takes all of those categories by a fair margin.

Dinah wins due to her sheer awesomeness.

Hmm...would their screams even effect each other? I assume they both have some immunity to sonics, otherwise they'd blow their own eardrums out every time they used their powers. All other things equal, Canary's superior martial arts skills should win the day.

Siryn would win, and the reason why is something worth discussing outside of "Rumbles".
Over the years writers have explored what she can do with her powers. We've seen her do explosive Sonic attacks. We've seen her do mild screams that knock people out without major damage. She can echolocate. She's used her scream as a lockpick. She can fly with it, induce nausea or pain, or just knock people out with a sound. She can do all sorts of sound-related tricks, projecting her voice and the like, She can hypnotize people with her voice, and writers have explored her resistance to sonic-based attacks.
Canary, on the other hand? Writers haven't done nearly as much with what she can do. In fact her current writer makes her dangerously incompetent with her powers, having her mess up to an extent that far exceeds any mistakes her peers have made.
Siryn was created decades after Canary, but writers have done far more to exploring her capabilities. But then again, that's not surprising - nobody's worried that if she gets too good she'll make her boyfriend/husband look bad.

Siryn would win in a flight because her powers have more variety. This is unless BC somehow has a sonic resistance, then it comes down to flyer versus martial artist.

THIS
Even her best writer, Gail, didn't really stretch what the original Canary cry could do...She focused on the hand to hand improvements for Dinah which was great but like Drakon said, definitely nothing like the extent to which Siryn's powers were examined.
re: Family
You know, while the current GA/BC is getting grief, I do like that we are getting flashbacks to her younger days...When the 1st Crisis hit, all of Dinah's backstory got erased and I think this is the first post-Crisis look at her "origin".
Conversely, in X-force, Siryn's backstory with growing up with Black Tom (who she still sees as a father) and Juggernaut (who she considers an uncle) were always front and center. I like the fact that occasionally, Deadpool would remember, "oh, wait, Siryn's uncle is the freaking juggernaut, do I really want to piss her off?"
re: Men
Deadpool, Warpath and now Maddox trump Oliver. I know people hated the Ray and Dinah hookup but I actually liked it and wanted to see it continue. Hell, I'll even take Dinah and Doc Midnight over Canary and Arrow...

Nope.. Secret Origin #50 told us all we needed to know about Dinah Drake-Lance and Dinah Laurel Lance
only thing worth noting is that since that Dinah has been identified as a Metahuman/Mutant.. in Secret Origin #50 however Doctor Midnight (original) thought it had something to do with being near Alan Scott as a toddler

I'd bet on Canary in a fight, but admittedly I haven't read anything with Siryn since the 1980s, when her character hadn't been developed at all. She had an accent (one of those cringe-inducingly thick Claremont ones) and that was pretty much it.

I would have to give any battle to Terry, if only because her scream is far more powerful than Dinah's. I mean, she CAN FLY with it, and MAKE PEOPLE FALL IN LOVE WITH HER.
Seems to me, I'll she'd have to do is seduce Dinah into giving up, or maybe make her punch herself.

Thanks for reminding me Corrin! Chalk up another victory for Siryn:
She never had a crappy solo series where she had a horrid costume!

I dunno.
You could stop at "she never had a solo series."
Has Siryn been on television? Dinah's been on two series by now.
Also, she was never drawn by Mike Grell, so that's one for Dinah.
Plus, Siryn never palled around with anyone as cool as Zinda. :)
Also, kissing Batman is way better than being pregnant because of Jamie.

Bad appearance on Smallville and VERY! confusing appearance on Birds of Prey is nothing compaird to being in 2 Major Block busters.. yes.. Siryn was in X2 (Woke up the house) and X3..

Actually, Siryn has been in two huge X-Men movies. Sure, she was background dressing, but still.

Terry palled around with Rictor, Layla Miller (she knows stuff) and Deadpool. Those, to me, are characters cooler than Zinda.
Also, kissing Batman is way better than being pregnant because of Jamie.
Kissing Batman or getting knocked up by Jaime...
Neither of those sound very appealing to me.

are wee seeing the same page here?
she looks like shes rapped in wines.. but not likes shes trying to scream..
she might be figthing. true.. but no signs of trying to scream.. wich would be a stupid idea id her mouth was held shut.. ripping of her lips with a sonic boom.. must hurt
besides.. the arc just before that (i think) had her smashing a huge hole in a reinforced concrete wall..

You'r right. This seems like a much more accurate depiction of muffling weakness.

That's true, and I've seen Terry do it before in X-Factor as well.
But in this one, she's definately trying to scream her way out and can't.

I was speaking of Canary's two starring episodes on JLU and her short on Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
But, hey, add in BoP and Smallville too if you like. :)
But mostly I was asking if Siryn had been in any of the X-cartoons.
*Um, I'm mostly kidding here, guys, I don't really care who wins so much. I just like riffing on the characters.
And speaking of which, what about the siren on Squadron Supreme? Lady Lark, yes? How does she fare? (I'd throw in Mockingbird but no sonic cry, so she's right out.)

Since Lady Lark's an overt homage to Black Canary, I'd say the original wins out easily. I mean, no one really thinks Nighthawk could take out Batman.

No, Siryn wasn't in any of the cartoons. So yeah, Canary definately kicks her ass in that regard.
And Lady Lark was pretty much a parody of Black Canary, and had all the same weaknesses. But I bet Dinah would beat the hell outta her.

So does Lady Lark turn into a complete idiot whenever her main love interest appears in a story?

Lady Lark's main love interest was, of course, the Golden Archer.
My first encounter with the Squadron was way back somewhere in the Avengers when Roxxon Corp. bought them in to guard the place. (Also, incidentally, the issue where Patsy Walker becomes HELLCAT.)
Lady Lark is pretty bad ass in it.
Wish I remembered the issue number.

I do remember one issue where she and the rest of the team went up against the book's equivalent to the Secret Society. She got taken out of the fight pretty quickly thanks to a sort of electronic muzzle being slapped on her yapper. Hmmm....maybe she is more like Canary than I gave her credit for.
