Has Blüdhaven been abandon by the writers? I stopped reading shortly before Batman R.I.P. and I'm also curious if their is any chance of return to Blüdhaven for Nightwing .

Bludhaven has sadly been abandoned, though the bombed out wasteland was the setting for a pretty good portion of Final Crisis.
Will Nightwing come back to Bludhaven? Well, you might want to sit down for this: At the end of Final Crisis, Bruce Wayne "died" and now Dick Grayson will give up being Nightwing to be Batman for the foreseeable future.

It was addressed as something of a mess in Battle for Blüdhaven, which was right after the "One Year Later" break and ran for a few months. It's abandoned as unlivable in some places, has vagrants who refuse to move out in others, and has various government branches and evil doers running all kinds of scary experiments there.
And technically Final Crisis was centered around it. Various characters visit there during the story, and the Evil Factory Darkseid builds is located there--because apparently the mess left there gave him so much material to work with.
Both series also go for something of a "New Orleans after the flood" kind of thing in terms of public reaction. Nobody is happy.

It does occur to me that if DC decides that Trinity really IS set AFTER Final Crisis, then they can use what happened at the end of that series to "explain" Blüdhaven being "back as it was" (or at least genuinely repairable now).

That kind of sucks, I thought Blüdhaven was a fairly diverse city and a bit more interesting then some of the other cities in the DC universe.

Well to be honest: It's not much of a revelation. After all, there is more ways to bring back a superhero then their is jelly beans in the bubble gum forest. Bruce Wayne will return.
