Minor Victories in Life

I just beat someone in fantasy baseball 8-2 for the entire week. Awesome. Yup. That warrants another beer.

So what have you done that can be considered a minor victory?

A girl in Wake Forest I was hoping to hear from got back to me this afternoon. I suppose it could still lead to yet another dead end on my sex/lovelife's tumbleweed-laden landscape, but for now I feel pretty good.

I beat a parking ticket! $115 that won't be going to the NYC coffers.

I occasionally find pennies when I go out, like most people, but earlier this year I found a dollar on the train. That has never happened to me before!

(I really don't think I could've found the person who lost it if I tried; if they were still on the train, they would have been sitting in the general vicinity of the money, and that area was empty when I got on.)

I just finished a story for the first time in about 6 months. It isn't particularly good and its a first draft, but I did technically complete it.
