New Comics!!

Okay, so here was my haul this past week, that included the previous week...it was not much, but that's okay.


This was okay, I mean, EVERYONE knew how it would end, but I expected more from Tony in this finale, but it was not his best effort.

So, more Pirates.....Seems like they are everywhere in comics these days!! This one was pretty good. A nice pencil work by the creator which was not perfect but the interesting story kept it together. The praise at the back by Mignola and (forget the other) seemed a bit much but....

Easily the BEST of the bunch!! LOVE this series, but this was the final issue. A nice love story that was very heartwarming. Anderson, Bevard and Perry all prove to be remarkably supportive of each other's talents which blends well in this miniseries. I can recommend this book to just about anyone!

This was okay, I'm a bit indifferent to the story, but it's well written and drawn. I'm still interested to see where this leads.

Runaways. It was okay, but not great. I am not particularly jazzed about the new artist, but she's not bad. I'm hoping the next issue will blow me away, as taking Take off the series was not a good move, imo.

Nice haul. Trade waiting on the Yost runaways and McDuffie JLA. Might give the Gold Digger/ Ninja High school mini a shot. Im getting more Indy titles, they have a wide range of genres. And the big 3 comics prices are making indy books more affordable, who'da thunk it.

Cool! I've been waiting a long time for this to get published. Morna and I met Jeremy Bastian when we sat the booth with David Petersen at the Motor City Con in '07. The two of them have been sharing a booth with Nate Pride at that con for several years. They have also been getting together every week to draw together for a long time. All three of those guys are fantastic illustrators.

i got an issue of tim corrigans comics and stories in the mail, that's about it as far as new comics go. i think the last "new" comic i bought was the x-men noir and spiderman noir comics. looks like there is some stuff i want to get coming out right now though. the electric dreams comic, the drive in fights back one, can't think of the rest

Yeah, I know, but it's still gonna be the same artist. :frown:

And, I agree, currently, Gold Digger is not good. But this comic is NOT gold digger. It just has some of the characters from that universe.
