I never really got exposed to a lot of Disney as a child for whatever reason, but I love animation, musicals, and fantasty so have recently been watching a few Disney films and have been presently surprised. While they get a bit repetitive, a lot of them are certainly entertaining. My favorite so far is Sleeping Beauty. So, anyone want to discuss what are the best Disney films to watch (this can include live action and 3D stuff too).

I personally enjoyed the Disney 'renaissance' of The Little Mermaid, through to Tarzan. (Beauty and the Beast, Rescuers Down Under, Aladdin, the Lion King, Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules.
Atlantis is also awesome for a more serious film (re: no musical numbers, and it's designed by Mike Mignola).
Mulan is a fantastic story. Very funny. I've watched that one probably the most (excluding Pixar films). Eddie Murphy makes a good 'comedic relief' sidekick, but does not overshadow Mulan, who is an excellently strong main character.
Lilo & Stitch has really excellent 'rounded' design, and proved Disney need not stick to classic fairy tales and CAN produce very good original material.
My ultimate favourite 'oldie but goodie' is Alice in Wonderland.

I agree with that for the most part. They really did hit some great highs with the modern stuff like Tarzan, Hercules, Lilo and Stitch, Lion King, and Aladdin. I also think Atlantis is and overlooked gem.
And of coarse you can not go wrong with the Disney/Pixar stuff: Toy Story, Bugs Life, Incredibles, Monsters Inc, ect, ect.

.......... i was in a hotel room after a motorhead show with about 5 or 6 other guys circa 86ish , looking for free porn on the tv - instead we found Dumbo - right when they chain up his mom - not a long haired , tatooed , coked up dry eye in the house

My favorites are generally the more modern "hero" movies like Aladdin, Hercules and Tarzan. Another highly underrated favorite is Treasure Planet. I love their take on Jim Hawkins as a restless teenager, it brings out certain similarities between him and Silver.
Another one that's reallly good is A Goofy Movie. It can seem a little "overly '90s" at times (the cast includes Paulie Shore and the soundtrack boasts a few songs by Tevin Campbell). However, it's still highly entertaining.
