Pigeons are nasty little creatures. Crapping everywhere. Blighting our towns with their cooing and their bobbing heads.

Bloody pests.

Personally I was cheering on Dick Dastardly and his flying corps.

Thanks to my having spent much of the last week indexing 1950s Batman comics but the first thing that came to mind when I saw the topic was that lovable little elf Bat-Mite. You could say 'Mite was the first fanboy: all he wanted to do was hang out with his heroes and make their adventures more exciting... just like every fan-turned-pro since!

I'm in with Navi, from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Ostensibly meant to guide Link through the game and provide helpful tips, she instead spends much of her time nagging you incessantly, pointing out the bloody obvious, and setting your teeth on edge with repeated high-pitched cries of "Hey, listen!"
