I started watching the young indiana jones chronicles and noticed something.

they really redid them for the dvd release.

They completely removed the sections of old indy and let the kid do a voiceover when they needed him.

I noticed something similar when I was watching the super mario brothers super show where they stripped out the copyrighted songs for their stock music (which really shows in a couple of scenes and makes them really borring).

What other dvd's really change the material from it's original source. I don't mean director's cuts, I mean stuff released as the original.

Well, any movie with Lucas' name on it (like THE YOUNG INDIANA JONES CHRONICLES) automatically fits this bill.

Personally, the removal of old Indy was the best change they could have done. It was just too out of character that Indy would just start talking to someone he meets on the street and relates some kind of episode from his younger days. Old Indy sucked.

Tales from the Darkside season dvd release had to replace all the library music it used for episodes and had to replace it.

The theme songs for "Married With Children" and "Bossom Buddies" have been changed.

The theme songs for "Married With Children" <snip> have been changed.

What? I've been considering buying that. They changed the theme song? To what?

To some terrible instrumental version of the theme song. I think season 1 still has the original theme song though. I just fast forward through the opening credits.

I guess they took out some of Living Color's musical spoofs like the M.C.Hammer one or maybe even the Milli Vanilli one because of that. I can only imagine what they are going to do in seven years when they finally get to the 87 season of SNL, you know, when it started being good, even better than the originals. All those music they used in sketches and on the Dennis Miller new casts. Man, They should just skip 80-86 and go straight to 87!

George Lucas. I bet they had to leave all that music in the Howard the Duck DVD, also the movie is on the DVD, too. The first Marvel movie. Can't believe it.
