wow.
M johnson and M Green once again knock another issue of superman/batman out of the park and this time around they bring frances manupal with them to the party.
Lex joker and Doomstroke are the coolest hybrids ever :)
Basically, Superman and batman are stuck in an alternative dimension or world, not really sure yet, As this title is set in it's own continuity so to speak.
The meet the justice titans, who are hybrids of famous JLA and Titans characters. wally allen! dick jordan! A little fight ensures and they make up. story is to be continued.
A fun issue and well worth a read, can't wait for part two.
Frances manupal is going to be a superstar, and his work on Adventure comics should be just as great if he keeps this level of storytelling and rendering up.

Francis Manapul is the main reason why I got this.
His art looked absolutely amazing, I loved the way Steve Buccellato colors look on Francis's art as well. The story was just a bonus but its pretty fun for what it does.

I found myself greatly entertained by this comic. The art was wonderful, so that may have helped.
Can't say I agree with Batman that Dick and Hal are similar, however.
Now that I've thought about it, I'm sort of surprised it had Doomstroke and not Doombane, Although I guess Doomstroke goes better with the inevitable Terra Mark V traitor plot.
...I dunno. "Doomstroke" sounds like a hand job gone *really* bad.

I was so jaw-dropped and giddy about that first panel of Batman swinging through the streets that I barely even noticed "Commissioner White" ... that's gold!
As novel and silly as the fusion heroes and villains are ... Manapul makes them all look awesome. Somewhere out there I hope Geoff Johns is patting himself on the back for a week straight on getting Manapul on Adventure ... the guy has absolute style.
As for the silliness ... they may be silly ... but the idea of Starfire fused with Canary, making a blonde, orange skinned girl in barely nothing ... with fishnets! Awesome.
Donna Troy/Wonder Woman's outfit is what Donna Troy should be wearing in the real DCU books, it's so natural a design. The others are a little more ridiculous, but I did smile at Hawkman/Beast Boy.
More smiles when I saw the statue in front of Justice Tower ... one of those "founding members" statues is most freakin' definitely "Fate's Arrow" ...
I laughed out loud at Terranado. Terra Mark V ... gold. Batman's pondering how he loves Dick like a brother but Hal Jordan grates on him ... but that they're both "men without fear" is a neat musing.
Doomstroke is as corny and fanboyish as you'd think, but his name makes a ton of sense, so that's probably what led to this unlikely merger. Doomstroke ... stroke of doom.
I'm not usually down with the fun, but out of continuity Superman/Batman stuff, but this one I had to check out based on the art, and it's at least fun and really pretty.

Ehn... I don't quite get the love for Francis just yet. I thought his radically different style in Adventure #0 was interesting, but it's not exactly going to make me rush out and buy this series.
I'm still on the fence at this stage.

Given what Terra Mark V and Doomstroke's relationship is likely to be, that seems somewhat appropriate.

I loved this issue, it took me back to the old Amalgam series, which I remember fondly. This earth needs to stick around a bit longer, I think... of course this earth has only half the population of regular DC earth
Might need to post a Justice Titans/Children of Older Heroes fight on the Rumbles board.
