...Monster Jesus?
Heh... you are so going to hell for that, young man. No, this was from the Tillicum Village tour; the mission takes the volunteers out there to dinner once a month and Julie has to be sort of the cruise director for the trip. Sometimes she invites me along for company. The "Terrible Beast" was part of the show, Native American dinner theater. At one point there was a guy up on stage galumphing around in a wooden mask and a black-feathered cloak, while a pre-recorded narrator thundered on about how this Terrible Beast was responsible for storms, famine, infant deaths...then there was a pause and I leaned over and whispered, "Enron, reality TV, the designated hitter rule," and Julie just lost it laughing. Ever since then it's kind of been our private joke. If it's a bad thing the Terrible Beast was responsible.
The trouble is that it's pretty much impossible for either of us to get through the play now with a straight face. It's a different group of volunteers every month but always the same play, so we've seen it a few times, and every time the "Terrible Beast" gets mentioned Julie starts to giggle. She says she thinks they're going to find something else to do for the volunteers since the dinner is mediocre and the play is TERRIBLE. The chief drawing point is the sail across the bay to get to Blake Island where this faux Indian Lodge restaurant is. That part is great fun, especially in the summer.

Here is a pic of my lovely wife Kat and I over the Canada Day long weekend up at her parent's cottage about 150 miles north of Toronto.
It's the same photo - a cropped one so you can see us, and the wider shot so you can get a sense of the Canadian wilderness.
It's a great lake - lots of Americans up there actually, including Edward Norton's family.
I met him but I figure that a bit of small talk wasn't enough for the 'know a celebrity' thread.

Actually - we were something like 60 ft away, so flash wouldn't have helped too much. The sun was ridiculously bright and behind us - hence, the shadow. I just tried to crop the wider shot so that you could see me trying to keep my head above water.
I kept telling my wife - I am the Lone Ranger, not Aquaman!
Even the 'wide' shot is pretty cropped.
My lazy brother-in-law wouldn't take the camera into the lake for a better shot.

This past weekend I took a group of 15 high school and college kids into San Francisco to work with various organizations who have progams to help the neediest in the city. Even though our meal schedule was erratic, we didn't get a lot of sleep, and they were stretched way beyond what they're comfortable with, they did a GREAT job and I couldn't be more proud of them.
This picture of our group is in Bodecker Park in SF's Tenderloin district (right on the corner of Jones and Eddy for those who know or care). It's a seriously rough depressed part of town, and we gave out lunches to probably 300 people.

I know, nice scan job, but oh well.
These are the most pics of Jasmine and Reilly, Zee Niece and Nephew.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!
They are so CUTE! And the top hat is too freakin' adorable. Is Jasmine going to be a cheerleader?
:) :D
(ALL cuteness like that deserves smilies.)

You know what? I am firmly convinced that CBR has the best-looking kids around! Every pic I've seen of someone's kid is of an absolutely adorable child. (That includes nieces and nephews, btw.)
It's be great to get a bunch of the *kids* together sometime, ya know? Wow, it'd be a kid riot! :)

Those are great shots dambrose!
I like (what I assume) is your daughter's bedroom with the purple and yellow with flower border. We painted my daughter's room pink and purple with a butterfly border when she was 8. Now she's 12 and hates it. LOL! :D
Here's some pics of a family vacation out west. We visited San Francisco and did all the "tourist trap deals" and had a great time.

Agreed.
I dunno how some of you folks resist the urge to show every passer-by how cute your kids are.
I swear that middle pic looks like a Tommy ad.

For one thing she is loud enough when we take her places that people know she is there. And both mother and daughter are tommy girls.

Indeed it is... and that wasn't even a full shot.
They said a train used to run through that part of town or something, so the BK was modelled (sp?) after the station design. Very nice.
This makes me want to go and take pictures at the superdelux Sheetz gas station and restaurant here.
But I'm laaaazy.
Oh, I haven't posted anything of myself in a long time (probably because I'm not photogenic).
I'm the one in the middle.

Here's an updated pic of me and my kids freezing in August at SFs golden gate
Edit: I was cleaning up attachments from the avatar contest and must have deleted it.
Here's three pictures of me and my family "doing the tourist thing" in San Fran last August. I think I posted these earlier but had a "senior moment" last night.

How do you keep the blade from cutting the "bandages" all over your sword?
Also, it looks heavy. Is your last name "Johnson," by any chance? :p

A friend e-mailed me a couple funny pictures of Alice. They were from a camp she worked at a couple summers ago.
She would hate it if I put posted these on CBR... so here they are.
