My lab, Aurora, is about that size too, though I imagine less of it is muscle. She's the sweetest thing.

I don't have a pic of her handy, but this is my Newfoundland Bodie.

Law students aren't really poor. They just have their priorities wrong; most of them spend roughly £60-£100 of their student loan every 3 days or so on a really wild night out. I don't smoke or drink or go out, so that leaves me with a student loan sitting in the bank, doing nothing but accumulating interest, and we can't have that!

The home cinema room belongs to my parents, but it was I who set it all up for them.

Nathan had his first trial yesterday. His gifted class did a mock trial in front of the District Judge. Nathan was lead defense counsel for John Wilkes Booth. His opening was a little weak, but he had a great cross of one of the Prosecutions witnesses. And he did a nice redirect on Dr. Samuel Mudd after his co-counsel missed a couple of things.

Oooooh! Good stuff! We did something like this back in High School.

Apparently, our law school has a "mooting society", but I'm far too apathetic to engage in such things these days (plus they tend to draw their members from the University's liberal elite, so I probably wouldn't fit in.)

I didn't give him that much help. We went through the affidavits, and I pointed out what he wanted to hit on in his opening. But he drafted it himself. And I showed him how to lead the witness in cross, but he came up with all the questions himself. And he did his direct of Booth without any help.

Somehow this became mostly a "post a picture of your children" thread but there are all kinds of other things to be proud of. I'm proud of my wife Morna. She is a gifted and dedicated artist who has supported herself (and me at times) entirely through creative means since we graduated from college in 1986. She is a nationally recognized name in Canadian glass art and part of the history of contemporary craft in our country.

As I see him every day, it's hard to appreciate how much he's grown.

I was organizing a lot of digital pics last night (everything going back to last autumn was still on my camera), and I could actually see him transform from a baby into a little boy. He just turned 18 Months on May 30th.

Such is the way with these things. My boyfriend didn't really want me to get a cat because "they're lame," but now he really adores her and has happily offered to take care of her while I'm away during Christmas. Yay!

If only...that's a Swiffer Mop box. Which I had to get to help clean up her shedding fur. I wish my cat came with gaming electronics...instead she only comes with many added hours of house cleaning. Not fun.

Those are great pics.

Man, it seems like he was just born.

My thoughts exactly. I think I can actually remember the birth announcement.

Now he's definitely in toddler stage.

Cute kid. Not enough Red Sox gear though.

Thanks.

It really does. I've found time moves about ten times more quickly once you're a parent.

No kidding.

I've enjoyed all the seasons with my kids, but contrary to conventional wisdom, being the Dad of teens is pretty cool. Of course, I raised my kids to be nerds . . .

Thanks.

It's tough to keep him Sox outfits every day- my in-laws keep putting Phillies stuff on him instead.

At least it's not Yankees clothes. I think I would throw my mom out of my house if she brought my future child Yankees clothes.

My father is a patient man.. When we were children he let us have Cowboys PJ's and helmets even though he was a die hard and often Giants Fan.

Hang on. You mean "sat on a duck" isn't a fart euphemism?

Bad cell phone pic, but it's the boys in front of the Weiner-mobile.

Logan started pre-school (two mornings a week) in September. We had to get a picture of him for his cubby area.

Although, he's not quite 3 (his b-day is the end of this month), his inability to follow the photographer's direction has us ruling out a career as a male supermodel.

Scott: Second panel, second row completely invalidates your no supermodel theory.

Also, the kid's a looker.

Thanks very much.

Kat was yelling "Be Still! Be Still", but I think Logan thought she was saying "Blue Steel! Blue Steel!"

This little guy never stops moving or talking, so the Sears Potrait Studio isn't really an option for us.
