Kind of exciting when a friend comes up and tells you that one his friends heard about a pre-production comic from one of his friends who is an avid collector, and then goes onto to describe your basic plot and a couple of hooks in the story. I was able to trace back the friend of the friend of my friend, and he knows the artist I am working with.
How cool is that to have people talking about your comic when you only have a handful of pages drawn up and are still in the submission stages? Dang, I was happy as can be.
You ever had that happen... a pre-buzz for something you've done coming from people you don't even know? That juiced me up pretty good to get me moving on finding a publisher.
