I feel as though knowing Mon-El's fate somehow cheapens his present, as though he's living with a clock. Tick tick tick tick etc every time I read him.

Is he a fun character? Sure, he's smartly written and I love reading about him. But how can I feel as though he's ever in danger or can ever change at all? He has no surprises.

It just takes away something from him.

I don't mind the character of Mon-El, but I haven't read a lot of stuff with him in it. But I'm not liking Robinsons writing, so I just have to go "eh, he's ok".

Still single but open to a new meaningful long-term relationship

Free of the Phantom Zone and starring in Superman while Superman is in the New Krypton mini series. Has been for about 3 months now.

I always liked Mon-El. Even though he suffers from being "almost Superman but not quite". I'm glad he's getting the spotlight in the current New Krypton mini.

What he said. If I hadn't been reading the Superman books for 20 years, I'd probably drop both Action and Superman. They just aren't doing it for me right now.

Wow. I've been reading for less than that, only since '91. That's, what, 18 years? Not quite where you are just yet.

But I'm enjoying it anyway. Great read. I can't say it's the best, and my taste is questionable (I enjoyed Red/Blue and Millennium Giants), but it's a fun read.

I love the concept of "this is how Mon-El becomes the hero of the 31st century", also the idea of him not being a superhero so much as an explorer.

I don't think of Mon-El.

Mon-El is a stiff. Always has been. Always will be.

Mon-El is OK in the Legion but I'm not currently reading Superman. Robinson on Superman is not the same writer that did Starman & The Golden Age. Also I am not a fan of Guedes' art style.

I like him, specially back on his Silver Age rootes and off the Phantom Zone. Full of great possibilities.

I always liked him, I felt he was much more interesting than Superboy.
