Is this going to be on Sci-Fi Channel or should I look for the DVD. Surely it won't be in theaters.
I really shouldn't make fun of this, because I have a whole bunch of old '50s B-movies around here that I love to watch on a regular basis. However, it seems more forgivable when it's in black and white and straight out of the atomic age of sci-fi.
I have to say, when I saw the shark taking a bite out of the Golden Gate Bridge, I figured he was just trying to one-up the octopus.
Shark: "Oh, the octopus is so full of himself. He's like 'a giant octopus pulled down the Golden Gate Bridge in It Came From Beneath the Sea'. That's no big deal. I can do that." [chomp]

She should do a movie with "Rick" Schroeder.

Sci-Fi should be shut down immediately and replaced with Swahili infomercials if Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus is not aired asap that network.

They should really just change the name to the MEGA SHARK VS GIANT OCTOPUS channel.

Looks like the kind of goofy, fun crap that up to now could only be gained by watching stuff like "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" -- the FIRST one with the really bad dubbing and the equally bad special effects.

Well, for a (I'm guessing.) scientist, "Deborah" Gibson seems a little too enthusiatic at the prospect of seeing a giant shark fight a giant octopus, even comparing it to the Thrilla in Manila.

There you go, perpetuating the stereotype that just because a woman is smart she can't be a normal girl with down-to-earth interests. Shame on you!

You call sharing top billing with Debbie Gibson in a giant shark vs. giant octopus movie "maintaining an acting career"? You're quite the generous soul.

How the heck does Lorenzo Lamas still maintain an acting career.I never felt he was a bad actor. He had a show where he was a bounty hunter with an Indian sidekick that wasn't too bad. Anyone want to help me out with the name of the show?

Im just amazed that while you have some actors who are talented but couldn't get by in Hollywood you have guys like Lamas that still do movies, even if they are in the B-Movie category

It was terrible, but it was also right in line with the bulk of low rent action shows being produced for 1st run syndication in the days before widespread original programming on basic cable.

The hell you say! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lO7py7vGY7k)
He was a cop and good at his job, but he commited the ultimate sin and testified against other cops, gone bad. Cops who tried to kill him, but got the woman he loved instead. Framed for murder, now he prowls the badlands; an outlaw hunting outlaws. A bounty hunter. A renegade.
I actually did that from memory. And Bobby Sixkiller remains the best name for a sidekick in TV history.

I didn't think it possible, but I'm more excited to see this film than I was for the new Star Trek.
I mean I would of flipped out for a film about a giant shark or one about a giant octopuss... but both together in the same movie?? That's genius, pure unadulterated good stuff.
