So i haven't been keeping up with daredevil so i was just curious, without the secret identity of matt murdock is the book alot different, but in a worse way? Personaly i liked peter unmasking in civil war...i felt it opened up a world of new ideas, only to have it magicaly undone months later.

I know people will say peter and matt are very different characters which is true, but surely the fundamental superhero with an alter ego is still there?

So is it worse now the secrets out? could it work for spider-man if it has for daredevil?

For me, as the situation gets worse for Daredevil, the story gets better. And that too in an organic manner taht results into great story telling.

Spider-Man's situation on the other hand was a sudden reset into the 'good old days' and hence no one likes or wants to tell a proper story with unmasking.

Well while Murdock was in jail, Danny Rand/Iron Fist ran around as Daredevil, so he was like "See? I'm totally not DD!" although most people still know its him. His life just gets worse and worse with each arc, which makes it really fun to read.

For me his story has been good since he lost his secret identity cause of the stories.

But i still feel he has lost much of his mystery, some of his strenghts of having dubble life.

Matt Murdock is practicly dead. Everyone knows DD is the blind lawyer. Daredevil has taken over totally. Matt doesnt even work anymore. 90% of the times you see only Daredevil.

So hell yeah i hope he hadnt losed his secret identity permantly like it is now.

Matt being "outted" was actually great for the book. He now is DD pratically all the time and he uses DD to take the Matt created trouble and push it back and take out his frustrations. He just continually spirals into despair. Since he has alienated everyone Matt no longer cares about his identity.

Parker still have people that care for him so he is real selective. Murdock just doesn't care at this point.
