We haven't seen him recently in Uncanny X-men, not sure about Legacy since I don't read it. But you guys think Magneto will make a grand entrance into the whole event? If so, small role or large role?

I havent been keeping up with X-men....I didn't even think 616 Magneto was still alive since I haven't seen him used in a while or discussed. Having magneto enter the fray would be a great idea.

I think his last appearance was in Uncanny #500.

Magneto's working with the High Evolutionary to get his powers back.

I think they should really leave him out of the current universe.

I think the issues just is that he is far to powerful and can overshadow any other bad guys around. I kinda like the idea of giving some of these lesser villens some more depth though the event and I think that if you bring in a powerhouse such as Mag your not really adding much to the stories really.

Magnto already has his powers back. The High Evolutionary finally succeeded in returning them. As for a role in Dark Reign I have to wonder if he would be with or against Osborn. Magneto has always come off as the type of villain who would try and take over the world, then kill anyone else who tried to take over theworld, just cause he wanted everything HIS way.

Actually i think he would fight AGAINST Osborn. Or i hope so anyway. I loved thee days when he and the X-men, y'know, got along. It would be cool if they tried to reform the Illuminati against the Cabal and he was on it.

This ISNT going to happen, but i like to dream

Actually, I'm surprised Osbourne didn't go to Magneto instead of Emma Frost. I get why he chose her, but if you wanted to go to the alpha dog of each pack...

Guess Marvel wants to create "tension" with the mutants once Emma's role in this group is finally exposed.

Magneto was Bendis' first choice to be the mutant representative in Osborn's cabal, but wasn't included because of Fractions plans for him later on in Uncanny.

Would Magneto be intimidated by the Sentry?

Considering we still don't know what Magento is up to with the High Evolutionary, his return/Fraction's plans for him could be anything.

Personally I'd love to see him get together some heroes/anti-heroes (and maybe even recruit Namor) to take down Osbourne. No one else seems to be willing to do it. Something tells me Mags would be able to pull something like that off. Plus, a Magneto/Green Goblin showdown would just be awesome.

Magneto would be a good choice for trying to kill Osborn. He really doesn't have anything to lose, and if he fails the X-men can't take the blame.

Would Magneto be intimidated by the Sentry?

Good question. I dont think Magneto would be, I dont think he's intimidated by anyone. The next logical and real question would be, would Magneto stand a chance against the Sentry? I dont think so

Magneto typically doesn't share power with other villains or respond well to orders so I can't see him getting along with Osborne. Using Emma in the Cabal fits better.

Don't think Magneto will be involved in Dark Reign at all though. Fraction will likely keep him in the X-corner of the MU for now.

i think it would have been interesting to see his reaction to Dark Reign. if this was back when he was running Genosha, i could see Osborn agreeing to just stay out of mutant affairs as long as Magneto keeps the mutants in-line (and in Genosha). mutants, realistically, benefit from Norman being in charge. Norman's a sociopath and crazy as h*ll but he's no bigot. Magneto might almost get a kick out of the human population being lorded over by a fascist organization like H.A.M.M.E.R.

and, no, i don't think he'd be scared of the Sentry. Magneto survived the camps, being buried alive w/ his family, seeing his daughter burned to death, multiple attempts on his life, a couple cosmic beings, and the Shadow King. the sentry would have a tough time throwing him into the sun, anyways.

I dont want magneto in dark reign

and I dont want him a main villain again. If anything let him be a neutral guy, or i'd actually prefer him to kind of be a good guy. He's had his runs of villainry and mischief.

Oh, and Fraction implied that Magneto will be showing up in the Dark Avengers/UXM crossover. He'd probably side with Cyclops and the X-men, and would laugh at Xavier for cooperate with Osborn.

Agreed. I've always found that he works best as an anti-hero/neutral character/atoner. When he's in pure villain-y mode, it just never works. He's too complex of a character to be a cliche villain. Plus, you'd think that post House of M he'd be working with the remaining mutants as much as possible.

I think Cyclops is leaning more and more to Magneto's style anyway which is why I can't see him linking up with the Xmen because Scott wouldn't let him run things and doubt (unless he is poorly written) he would take orders from Cyclops and/or Emma.
