Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures has provided CBR with a set of photos from Guy Ritchie's upcoming "Sherlock Holmes" movie, starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and Rachel McAdams.

Big Holmes fan but it'll be hard to improve on Jeremy Brett's role as the great detective. For me Brett pretty much defined Holmes.

Actually, this shows the guys actually did their research. In the novels, Sherlock didn't wear that hunting cap everywhere, which would've been highly unfashionable in the streets of London.

And I'm willing to give Robert Downey Jr a chance here. Because again, this is a movie where him having experience with drugs and alcohol will help. ...They'd be stupid not to take advantage of that to showcase Sherlock's cocaine addiction.

I will probably see it.
But after seeing the photos I thought immediately that Jude Law would be Holmes, Downey Jr Moriarty and then wondered where Watson was.

I'm a big Holmes fan but not much of a Guy Ritchie fan, so while I am mildly excited about the prospect of a new Sherlock Holmes movie, I'm just hoping that it doesn't suck too bad. I'd certainly like to see a trailer soon.

Don't know about this trailer.

Looks more Guy Ritchie than Sherlock Holmes.

Almost looks like some kind of Victorian era James Bond.

Is he from old tv shows or movies ?

I havent seen anything with him but he sure looks like the role exactly with the air i always see Holmes as.
