I don't know about you but I hate having one third of the issue spoiled for me. GImme like 2 or 3 pages at most. Do the preview pages really affect your decision to buy? Your thoughts please.

Maybe read 3 pages then stop?!! This sounds like a "McDonalds made me fat" kinda complaint.

4-5 is good enough for me
that way, only 1/6 is spoiled instead of 1/4

Nah, if you don't want it, don't read it.

Easy to say, hard to do.

I'll be honest.

I see both points.

Both points being the thought that it is too much, the opposing view being that it's fine.

Then again, I read what gets spoiled anyhow.

I'd be happy with 1-4 pages just as much as I am with 3-7.

Thought provoking. I need more time to form my opinion.

It is rather simple, dont read them if you dont want to. I know it must be hard for some people who lack any form of self control but lets face it, the person that clicks on it to read it is you and you alone so if you dont like em, dont read em. Simple as that.

I don't read them either. I generally avoid solicitations too (as much as I possibly can).

I only read previews of books I'm maybe interested in. if it's stuff like Dark Avengers or X-Force which I always get, then no I skip 'em

I am the same way, well not with solicitations, but with previews, I generally don't bother reading them, it's not too hard. From what I've seen in my few weeks here is that most posters also do a good job not spoiling anything in the previews.

Only of the books I dont pick up. All my regular books I dont bother since I prefer to crack em open on the day and sit back with my coffee at work reading them.

I wish the previews were 10 pages. I don't read them, I just glance at the art, and I buy 1/2 of my comic books each month for the art alone.

I read the previews of the books I am not going to buy anyway. Keeps me vaguely informed about what is happening elsewhere, and on occasion prompts me to but the books anyway. But I don't think of it as spoiling it, I think of it as spreading out the fun a bit.

I would make it shorter, 3 or 4 pages? And maybe not all from the beginning, but from various parts of the issue.

I only look at previews of things I'm not planning to buy (and then sometimes end up intrigued enough to buy them anyway.)

But I don't look at previews of things I'm picking up anyway, because then I feel like I'm paying a lot for just 15 or so pages, and it ruins some of the fun of the moment when you actually get the book in your hands and are able to read it.

Then they would have to fill the pages with expensive new content which would cut into their profit margin..

You don't really see them doing that, do you?

i enjoy the previews.

i usually look through the previews for the books i am picking up and some previews for books that i am not. on occasion, a preview for a book that i don't normally get has persuaded me to give the series a chance.

i also enjoy the previews because i pre-order my comics and don't receive them until (usually) the end of each month. the previews kind of tide me over until then.

so, no, i don't think marvel should get rid of them.
