If I had my way, should Riddler ever return to the big screen, he would only ever be played by David Tennant, whom I believe to be the only person in the entire world perfectly suited to the role of Edward Nigma.

I believe, with a little creative filming and some high heels, either Eliza Dushku or Sarah Lancaster would be good for the role of Wonder Woman. I'd also accept Erica Durance as Wonder Woman, but that'd be a bit of a stretch, even for me.

But yes, David Tennant as The Riddler or no one at all.

I agree. I thought Ava from Sin City was pretty shallow. pun Intended. A beautiful facade..I think megan fox could do that role given the right director and script.

Exactly. She pretty much represents what Ava is. So even if she is cast I would still see it since Im not apart of the fanboy haters crowd. Not like the sequel will suck because of her anyway so to those who hate her extremely need to just deal with it

My dislike of her is fresh and new, since she started bad-mouthing Wonder Woman without knowing a single thing about Wonder Woman. And the couple of movies I've seen her in, her acting was so bad it was distracting. Sin City did an amazing job of convincing me actors I hated (Brittany Murphy) CAN actually act every now and again. But I doubt even the best of directors could make such an unbelievably mediocre actress shine.

A pity that Nolan didn't include Barbara Gordon in the Batman films. I figured that he would have but he had Gordon have a son instead.

I have always wondered if Buffy's Allison Hannigan would have made a good Barbara. Give the woman a fighting instructor and have her build a little mass she can make a good Batgirl

Actually Gordon had a son in the comics before he had Barbara. She's adopted, IIRC. I don't think Hannigan can play teenage/early 20s anymore.

You guys think Joker would return in some way? Im not sure if Nolan would either recast the Joker or not use him out of respect for Ledger but I think the guy who played Donny Darko would be good as Joker.

Jake Gyllenhall is who you're thinking of. I can't see it. For one thing, he doesn't look anything like Ledger. For another, there'd be too many Brokeback Mountain jokes stemming from it.

It'd be cool to see a "Dr. Quinzelle" with small role or perhaps just a cameo at Arkam. But I can't imagine Harley Quinn actually having a role with TDK's Joker. Sure, you could reimagine her for the Nolanverse in a way that might make sense, but then I think you lose what makes the character so beloved by fans.

I see what your saying with Gyllenhall. I dont think thare is anyone with enough acting chops to pull off The Joker the way Ledger did should Joker be recast.

Also Nolan's joker seem more like a Lone Wolf kind of guy so him getting hooked up with a girlfriend does seem out of role. In Nolan's Joker's case.

Anyway, I don't think Rachael McAdams can play a teen anymore, so she's probably no good as Jean in First Class.

How about Kristen Stewart. I don't think I've ever actually seen something she was in, so don't yell at me if she's a horrid actress. But assuming that she isn't, redden her hair and I think she looks a lot like a young Jean. She seems like she could fit in with Famke Jansen.

Here...we...go! If none of the DC character movie-actors would return to reprise thier respective roles (Bale as an or Routh as Superman, etc) and we had to start off with a completely clean slate--who could we cast in a Justice League movie. Here are my pics:

Did Marvel really feel that Wondra was a better name than Jubilee? Jubliee actually make sense, as it's a contraction of her real name, and her power resembles fireworks.

I picked Kerry Washington for Storm earlier, but it occurs to me that First Class will probably need someone that could play a teen. Kerry looks only a few years (if that) younger than Halle did in the first movie.

A pity that Nolan didn't include Barbara Gordon in the Batman films. I figured that he would have but he had Gordon have a son instead.

I have always wondered if Buffy's Allison Hannigan would have made a good Barbara. Give the woman a fighting instructor and have her build a little mass she can make a good Batgirl

Gordon always had a son; Barbara is his niece. She could show up if they decide they really want her to (I don't see that as very likely though...hard to marry the "kid sidekick" concept to the "realistic" superhero approach).

The only way I could see Barbara involved in the Nolan Batman's world is as Oracle, forgoing Batgirl altogether. Of course, the "young hacker ally" is a movie cliche in and of itself, but at least it's one that could fit these movies.

Yeah. There's no point to recasting Gordon anymore. Gary Oldman is shockingly good as Jim. Hell, I think I like him better than Bale as Bats or maybe anyone else.

Hey, I don't want them to recast Gordon for the movie franchise. But for one thing, Christopher Nolan seems not to keen about his Batman movies being part of a shared universe. But as WB seems to plan in this direction, they propably recast the Batman characters for those movies.
Also, I always liked the idea of a Batman tv show in the style of the Sandy Collora fanfilms. And for such a project, Costner would definitely be the right Gordon.

Now if I had my way I wouldn't use Joker. The Joker is a nice villain but if I have to choose a primary villain in the Batman Franchise it would be The Riddler. He could provide a good match against Batman. Mostly in the thinking category.

With what has been going on with Disney/Marvel I have to ask if Disney wanted Marvel to remake the X-Men movies just to have it fit into Marvel Films Universe then who would you cast as Wolverine?

Actually, I think George fits to a T who I would cast as Captain Marvel (at least lookswise). I don't watch CSI: Vegas much, but caught part of an episode centered on his character recently, and wondered if the accent was really his or just for the role. If he could eliminate that, I would be all for it.

Good Lord!! Wonderful picks all. I think the stand out favs for me have to be Tennant as Riddler and Dr. Strange by Norton. Especially if Gaimen writes Strange.

I have always wanted Marena Baccaren (sp?) as Wonder Woman. She is fantastic.
There is an X-thread that has some pretty good X-movie choices one of which I'd like to steal of Rachel Weisz as Scarlet Witch (sorry if that is posted here as well, I did not get through the whole thread). The age is off, but movies rarely stick that close to canon anyway. I'm terribly disappointed that Green Lantern is not going to be Nathan Fillian.

Evangeline Lily as Wonder Woman. I've thought she'd be a good choice for a while. She's not totally unknown, but some someone so established that you'd see her rather than the character. And I don't think she'd be hugely expensive.

Nice choices, Jared. The Power Girl pick is awesome.

There aren't many women who could do Power Girl's outfit justice without looking like obvious silicone-injected porn stars. Hendricks not only has the bust, she has a classical, old-timey kind of beauty that I think would befit the character. It's just a shame I couldn't find any blonde pics of her.
