Ryan Reynolds as Wally West/The Flash and this would be an origin kinda story for Wally so Adrian Brodey as Murmur. Kinda took this idea from Batman Begins.
And Dane Cook would be a good replacement if Ryan Reynods couldn't play either Deadpool or Green Lantern if you think about it. HHH definately takes the best body role as Thor also, but not sure how his actual acting would be. And the African actor from from push is utterly perfect for the role of Black Panther.

Not that I think he needs to be the face of any more film franchises, but I think Johnny Depp would make a fantastic Dr. Strange. He has the face for it, the body for it, the attitude for it, and he'd have that slight bit of oddness that he brings to every movie he's in. This would be especially great if it were a Tim Burton film, and they went with a classic Ditko look/feel. Yum.

Hugh Jackman doesn't look at all like Wolverine. Anthony Hopkins has jack-all in common with Nixon physically. It's about having the talent to convey the necessary portrayal of the characters. If casting existing characters or historical figures was based solely on physical appearance and not talent, then I wouldn't write for film.

An actor's job is to act, not cosplay, or even pose for Tony Harris or Alex Ross. Acting often necessitates strong physical transformations. Take a look at Gary Oldman in Nolan's Batman films, then The Fifth Element, then the Contender, then Lost in Space (or don't, actually) then Immortal Beloved, Harry Potter, JFK, Leon, etc. His performances are only amplified by his drastic appearance changes, but the real work still lies in his portrayal of Jim Gordon, Lee Harvey Oswald, Sirius Black and Ludwig van Beethoven and how he's able to get in their heads.

appearance wise, these are great picks. How Texas Cowboy is the Aussie though, to play Jesse?I haven't heard any complains about his American accent. Whether or not he can sound convincingly Texan, I'm not entirely sure, but I'd give him a shot.

Of course, if you're talking about capturing the ethos of Texas and the cowboy mentality, I don't think having a foreigner play the part would necessarily be a bad thing. After all, Preacher's portrayal of America was sort of a romanticed view of Garth Ennis who's from Northern Ireland. Jesse Custer is a Texan cowboy hero as pictured by someone whose image of Texas comes more from John Wayne movies than the everyday reality.

Hank Pym:again,I narrowed it down to 2 guys:
1)Alexis Denisof,Wesley, from 'Buffy' and 'Angel'-he worked with Joss Whedon in those series.

Denisof can play both geek and badass. He's 45,so he's about the right age.
Not a big enough name though.

2)Bill Paxton,might be too old for the role at 56,but who knows.

One of the reasons why I might consider Paxton is that I think a good choice to cast as the Wasp is his former wife on 'Big Love'....
