Peter Petrelli- Rogue/Synch
Mohinder Suresh - Beast
Claire Bennet - Wolverine (but useless and whiny)
Sylar - Sabretooth/Mystique
Mama Petrilli - Professor X
HRG (Noah Bennet)- Henry Peter Gyrich
Hiro Nakamura - Nightcrawler
Ando Masahashi - Fabian Cortez
Matt Parkman - Jean Grey
Tracy Strauss - Iceman
Micah Sanders - Sage
Isaac Mendez- Destiny
Monica Dawson - Prodigy
Elle Bishop- Surge

Tracy Strauss - Iceman

Tracy is totally Emma Frost. Before she became a member of the X Men anyway.

HRG (Noah Bennet)- Henry Peter Gyrich

Oh yes. Those two characters are damn near identical. If they ever do Gyrich in the films Jack Coleman is THE person to play him

Adam Monroe: Apocalypse-C'mon, obsessed with weeding out the weak, creating a world where only the "Worthy" survive to be ruled over by him?
Linderman: Magneto- A man who does evil but ultimately wants to create a better world for his kind
Arthur Petrelli: Mr Sinister- Warped sociopath, dabbling in bizzare genetics, experimenting on various bloodlines to create the results he wants, casually murdering his followers? All he's missing is the chalky complexion.
Flint: Pyro-This one should need no explanation.
Candice: Mystique- Seductive, sultry shape shifter with a grudge against the world? Oh yes.
Charles Deveaux: Xavier- Immensley powerful telepath who is also the most principled and moral of the Company founders? They even named the guy "Charles" and had him in a wheel chair at one point.

And Peter and Nathan are totally Cyclops and Havok.

Well, Heroes is about as even in character development as X-Men has been for the last few years. So, sadly, it's a good show to compare it with.

Peter is the Mimic more so than any other character, at least in powers. Sylar is like Forge's power combined with a variation on Rogue's, only instead of stealing personalities he actually has to kill people to take their powers. Micah's more like Madison Jeffries. Monica is like Taskmaster more so than Prodigy. Nikki/Jessica were vaguely reminiscent of Legion, in character arc if not powers. Hiro's kind of a combination of Lacuna or Kiden Nixon and any high-range teleporter. Mohinder ---> Beast is not exactly a flattering comparison for Beast, given how dumb Mohinder is, but it IS an apt comparison... sorry, Hank.

Both season 1 and the second half of season 3 seem to be heavily influenced by Days of Future Past, and the ending of season 3 was taken right from that Exiles story where they convinced Proteus he was really Morph. However, I think I'm about done with the show, because these last couple of seasons... meh.

Sadly, this is true. Heroes sucked after the first season. I only watch it so a friend of mine won't describe each episode in it's entirety. Fringe is now one of my top 5 shows.

Yes, but 24 is on at the exact same time. I used to have to DVR Heroes and watch later, but I don't think I'm going to bother anymore. 24 is full of win again, and Heroes is... not.

Not even a year. I completely gave up and skipped season 3 after the premiere. I thought it might return to season 1 goodness, but alas...

I mistyped, clearly. I meant to type 3, not 2. I watched all of the short season 2, said "this is crap", tuned in for season 3 premiere, and gave up. Either way, season 2 wrapped up ONE year ago, not YEARS.
