I curious to see this snice I won't be getting one till late this week or next cause of this deal from comic-central. Who are the villians the hood assemble for this?
He basically assembles the Night Shift (Tatterdemalion, Needle, Dansen Macabre and Digger) and they get killed by this weird green zombie fog virus.
I thought the best parts of the book were the Hood/Dormammu personally.

The last page was amazing.

I kinda doubt it. They were in pieces by the time the green mutated mist virus was done with them. :frown:

Here I was disappointed they didnt use other horror based villians like Scarecrow, Blackout and Vermin who is part of Hood's men. I glad they didnt if they were going to kill off whoever part of Night Shift. Atleast they didnt kill off the Brothers Grimm who were part of the Night Shift too.

And Digger :frown:
Digger can probably return being that we don't know just what he is or the extent of the powers. Tatterdemalion I never thought was a good fit in the Night Shift, but if Needle's really gone that is the biggest loss for me, although maybe this could just be used as an excuse to bring him back with a deeper supernatural connection. I would've liked to have seen some mention of Jack's past with the members of the Night Shift, but otherwise I enjoyed this issue, I love the portrayal of Morbius, especially the "we....are.....MONSTERS" scene....classic!

It felt good until the last page. Total Dork Reign Pollution. And Jennifer Kale in full armor, doesn't really look like her at all. These morons love the 00's-ized versions of classic characters. It wouldn't kill them to draw them as depicted, at least in this instance?
Another Marvel comic straight to the trash.

They killed Dansen, Digger, Needle, and Tatterdemalion?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Tatterdemalion I could've left but the other three...........geez. Time to read Whacko #40. Dang it all.
It could've been a lot worse. Killing the Brother's Grimm would've been terrible. Tick Tock, too. Misfit- could've seen him go bye bye.
But Dansen Macabre made that team. Digger, Needle, too. Could've been some great stories out of that bunch.

The NIGHT SHIFT?!
Ok, I really need to be reading way more Fred Van Lente comics from now on.

Yessir, you do! Van Lente loves himself some underused yet awesome villains. He used some great ones in MODOK's 11 (one of mah faves of all time).

The only one that I wished wasn't killed off was the Needle but outside of that they were pure fodder.

You know, I just noticed that Centurius's name was spelled wrong.

This Digger has never died before to my knowledge. You thinking of the Spider-Man villain, by chance? Different guy.

Tatterdemaelion was awesome. Where does he come from? Reminded me of a demented Terror, Inc. Great dialogue.

Tatts has been around for a while, first appearing as a Werewolf by Night enemy, but has pretty much run the gamut across the MU. He's appeared as a foe of Dazzler, Daredevil, Spider-Woman, Ghost Rider, etc before joining the Night Shift and before this, his most recent appearance was when he was recruited into the Thunderbolts Army during Civil War.

He's my favorite of the old school Spiderwoman foes.

I'm really underwhelmed with is new series. I can't believe I'm seeing the same thing that happend to Van Lente's run like what happened to Kirkman's run. :frown:
Marvel Zombies 1 (Really good)
Marvel Zombies 2 (Poor)
Marvel Zombies 3 (REALLY good!)
Marvel Zombies 4 (Poor)

Except he was never a Spider-Woman foe. He started out as the wraparound narrator for a horror comic called Tower of Shadows, similar to Cain and Abel over at DC's House of Mystery and House of Secrets. He didn't appear again until he was part of the Night Shift in Captain America a decade-plus later.

What the?
I think 2 issues in I was enjoying Marvel Zombies 3 a bit more than these 2 issues, but the difference between "REALLY good" and "poor?" I can't even imagine anyone thinking that. It's been a lot of fun so far.

I am slightly confused though... is the Simon Garth appearing here the 616 version or the Marvel Zombies version?

This might be an interesting book without the zombies.

Oops should probably been more clear I was talking about Needle.
