Eddy Barrows is departing Greg Rucka's series. Julian Lopez, who was most recently seen on the Oracle mini-series as well as Batman and the Outsiders, will be joining writer Greg Rucka in place of Barrows.

Saw this at The Source earlier ...
I like his pencils a lot. Those sketches of Nightwing and Flamebird had almost classic comic sensibilities (reminded me off Jim Aparo/Marshall Rogers style stuff).
I find classic comic art with modern coloring and inking techniques looks phenomenal, so I won't be surprised to see more of it (naturally that doesn't mean they have to sacrifice detail or anything like that).
That Atlas looks frigging awesome. Lane and Hollister look great too.
I liked what Lopez did with BATO and the art in the Oracle mini is top notch, so he seems a worthy replacement for Eddy Barrows. I'm curious to see if Lopez will be able to match the sheer dynamic appeal of Barrows wild pencils - these last few issues of Action have really been ... "action". Insane camera angles, Ursa beating the tar out of Flamebird ... that mid-air brawl with Tor-An ... hard to top.
