After seeing the latest in a series of Shepard Smith slip-ups, I was wondering if anyone had a favorite news blooper. I know what mine is (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pG4UMxP3HsM).

That's just one of the unfortunate consequences.

Of running sentences together that is used on news programs everywhere now.

Here's my favourite. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPWZ7ASnhiE)

Because if you're going to name yourself 'Chuck Storm', you deserve that.

Not a blooper as such, but still funny as hell (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pPyAkZxxdE).

This one is awesome too. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzjLlqIuVhI) I don't know if it's real, but it's hilarious either way.

If the guy had said it, he'd be out of a job. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5bjxQT3oEQ)

I don't think you have to understand German to get this clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asTUXSXdUik). ,

This is from when basically everybody watched the 8:00 pm evening news on channel one, and Dagmar Berghoff was THE face of the news. A small slip up in a news bit about Boris Becker (WC Tournament instead of WTC) makes her lose her composure and giggle her way through the lottery numbers.

My roommates and I saw it live too. It was during Law & Order, if I remember right, and after it happened, we all just looked at each other and said "Did she just--"

We rewound and played it back many times that night.

I was pretty sure it happened during Medium.

I saw one a few months ago on Youtube (can't see from work if anyone's linked to it) where a story about a rapist or some awful criminal of that ilk was being talked about, and when they went to show his picture onscreen, it was a picture of a squirrel (or similar cutesy animal) dressed up to look like a prisoner.

There was a good 3 seconds where the news reader hadn't quite realized what the image appearing was...

Sorta news, a local station was filming a news promo to be shown later. There was a technical error and the anchorwoman jokingly shot the finger at the camera. The director freeze-framed the image, tried to show it to someone else, and inadvertantly broadcasted it on the air, interrupting the network feed.

I'm sure everyone in the UK must have seen the clip from long running childrens magazine programme Blue Peter in the late 1960s when an
elephant visited the studio.

Its keeper was a grumpy, stick wielding busybody and while the presenters were talking about the elephant, it urinated on the studio floor before dragging the mean zookeeper through the puddle and running across the studio!

Great stuff!

I'll see if I can find the clip on Youtube.

The clip is on Youtube but I can't put a direct link because I'm on my phone and it uses the mobile version of the site but if you go to Youtube type Blue Peter Elephant in the search box and there are several clips of the incident.

I can see why the GOP uses the elephant as its symbol.

I think I know which one you're talking about. Maybe this is different, I don't know. She was talking about a kidnapping suspect, and the picture was of a hamster holding a movie slate.

There was also a recent Fox News incident where a 'Pirate Indicted' screen scrawl was inadvertantly placed under a picture of pug puppy...

I don't think it's really a blooper, but this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKXM5HOAgcI) is hilarious too.
