I love stories like these. The movie itself, probably not so much. But I love the idea of Elton John producing "Pride and Predator". The Onion would never dare suggest something this loopy.

Damn, I was hoping we'd get a movie version of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies first!

EDIT - I guess I am out of touch. It's #14 in Sales on Amazon!

I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually becomes a sub-genre all it's own.

Why not go Wilde with the concept?

I was going for anything monsterish/dead/spooky/supernatural and not just Zombies. But... good job Maxine.

Dickens could be a change of pace, even though he's not really much like Austen.

A Tale of Two Zombies
Barnaby Fudge
Bleak House Full of Corpses
David Copperfield in A White Wine Sauce
Great Expectorations
Oliver, with a Twist of Lime

Ha. Kills me I didn't think of that one...

I'm still especially proud of "Great Expectorations" though.

All this joking about other cleverly named theoretical books carrying on what "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" started and...

The name of the REAL follow-up seems kind of lame.

The War of the Worlds Plus Blood, Guts and Zombies (http://www.amazon.com/Worlds-Plus-Blood-Guts-Zombies/dp/1897217919)

Although its a completely different publisher and a completely different ghost writer from Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (http://www.amazon.com/Pride-Prejudice-Zombies-Classic-Ultraviolent/dp/1594743347/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1241936550&sr=1-1). So maybe "follow-up" isn't quite the right phrase. Copycat?

Not like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" was all that cleverly named in the first place. I mean the two to make it to print seem to think simply dumping the word "Zombies" on the end is all you need to do. Where's the humor in that?

I find the title Pride and Prejudice and Zombies to be humorous, actually.

This new book seems a lot less worthwhile. I mean, War of the Worlds is already a science fiction novel, so it's not much of a clash of genres, which is what makes P&P&Z so appealing.
