Silver Surfer #50 Cover Variant

So I need your guys help identifiying this comic. I know it is the 50th issue of silver surfer and by searching the comic price guide I found that there were three different covers, one for each reprint. This cover is not any of those three. It has the same art and layout but instead of a silver title and silver on the surfer it is all white with a black outline. In addition to that the upper left corner is all orange with a small white rectangle. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I have searched google a hundred times and haven't found a single image or description like it.

This is the third printing according to comicpriceguide.com, it says third print on the bottom left i believe.

I read that issue not long ago, it was pretty good.

It's a United Kingdom version of the issue, published and distributed overseas. The "UK 60p" in the corner box is the giveaway.

I don't think those versions usually have any particular value or anything. (Especially considering this one appears to have been colored on with magic marker.) They're just the newsstand copies available in the UK.

i think it's just the first printing worn down & outlined as maestro mentioned. compare it to this image of the first printing:

i'd imagine someone outlined the surfer and logo to trace them; i know i tried doing that a few times when i was a kid.

It is definitely not magic marker or marker of any sort...My memory is a little fuzzy but I know I bouggthhis when I was ten and it went straight into a box along with the rest of the comics I recieved at the time. I was going through the boxes to pay off some colleg loans and thats when I found it, but yea guarenteed not magic marker unless some dick at the comic book shop colored it for me haha

So I posted the same thing on the cgc forums and got offered thirty bucks for it so I guess it worked out in the end

is it still embossed? and is that outline silver? cuz what it looks like to me is some kind of misprint, where the foil didn't go down the way it was supposed to.

It's not a UK specific issue, all marvel books had the UK price on them back then.

The outline is all black around the surfer and around the letters but I am with you I think the foil just didn't go down right...it just surprised me because I couldn't find anything about anyone else having the same misprinted issue.
