Oh boy, was I mullered.

I share my birthday with a very good friend of mine, so we met in the pub at 1, drank until 5, when we left to go and watch Birmingham City throw a perfectly good game down the toilet. Drowing our sorrows from that we went to another pub, drank until about 10. Went for a curry. Went to a club, and I got home at about half one in the morning.

Apparently I was talking to a work colleague who just happened to be in the second boozer we were in at about 9 that night.

Didn't remember that until he mentioned it to me this morning.

So my actual birthday was a mix of feeling like death warmed up, joy at all the wonderful stuff my darling wife had ordered off Amazon for me, and an overwhelming desire to go back to sleep.

At 25 I could've shrugged that of in 12 hours.
At 37 it'll probably be into May before I feel 100% again.
