This poll was just for modern characters. Wolverine and Batman are far from modern. Glad Deadpool for slot #4 - Ryan Reynolds had best not mess him up! Hmm, and Gambit @ #20, Layla Miller @ #34, Winter Soldier @ #52, M @ #148

I plan on corrupting my boyfriend onto Hellboy once I get all my TPBs to Michigan. He has not even seen the Hellboy Animated episodes yet! :eek:

Great news for Hellboy, and well deserved.

I found it strange that they chose a couple of images that were not drawn by Mignola. And the writing was a little off in places. Liz Sherman is a hydrokinetic? Who knew?

Very well - very very well - deserved.

Nowadays, flinging a Hellboy (comic) into the lap of some non-comic buddies, makes 'em go 'hey wow' more easily somehow, than say, well before the first movie. Hardly any coerciveness from my part seems necessary anymore ('start reading or leave this house...').
People seem to be grasping the non-conventional superheroics - like the outfit and mood - with less difficulty.
Much like other stuff, such as The Goon, Umbrella Academy, Sock Monkey or Usagi Yojimbo, seems to rattle people positively rather than baffle them negatively ('this looks weird...').
I for one am glad for that.

Hellboy has demonic strength and is able to lift 10 tons. Another power Hellboy has is tracking and can locate his enemies wherever they are if he picks up their scent.
