I think the inspiration for the new Drax might of come from Vin Diesel's Riddick character. Not that I am complaining one bit. I have become a huge fan of the current incarnation of Drax.

Watch Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. It might be the Guy Richie fan in me, but I can't find a problem with Stratham in those. Maybe he does con man better than action crap.

Everytime I see someone say they think vin should play a character its always "Yeah vin would be great. He is built like the guy, tough and has that deep voice". Never in my life have I ever seen someone say "Yeah vin should play that part because he is a great actor."

Vin is like the rock, he only gets parts because of his name or his physicality.

Well, not just because of his look, re-read Annihilation and you can see characteristics and mannerisms associated to Vin Diesel, not just because of his name but because IMO Marvel based the new look Drax on Vin in much the same way thaey based Ultimate Nick Fury on Samuel L Jackson.
