It seems like ever since CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS, Captain Marvel and the rest of the Marvel family have been appearing in their own titles, in versions of the Justice League, the Justice Society, the Outsiders, etc., but they have never lasted for long in their own series or in a team title. If Geoff Johns had an opportunity to reboot them (yeah, the Marvel family is in need of yet another reboot), how would he do it? Would he change the fact that Captain Marvel has Billy Batson's brain and acts like a kid? Would he make Billy Batson Captain Marvel again and make Freddy Captain Marvel Jr. again?

Geoff Johns commented many times that Blackest Night is the "third part" of his GL trilogy. Also, in BN#0, he writes that just as the stories from Rebirth onwards paved the way to Sinestro Corps War, the stories after it pave the way to Blackest Night.

My question is - What's next?

I always kinda assumed in the back of my head, that Johns will wrap up his GL "mega arc" and exit the title on (IMHO) the highest note possible (and move on to Flash, LOSH and Superman).

Recently, however, Johns said that he plans on staying on GL for the forseeable future. Does this mean the BN is no longer the "final" part of the trilogy, but rather just another part of the updated GL mega-arc?

While in itself, it's a great thing, as Johns is probably my favorite writer of superhero comics, it does bring up the question of the direction of his GL run post-BN.
