Enjoy.

I am really enjoying reading about Mon el and the other heroes in this book so far.

Lovely art and a great writing team.

Cool preview.

Renato Guedes really puts out some freaking impressive art when he has the time.

Shrapnel! Cool, haven't seen him in a while.

I just wanted to say that the blue shorts out side of the obviously baggy pants on Mon-El is one of the ugliest designs I've ever seen.

I wonder if Catian jim is dropping this stiff?

Well, I would be surprized. If anything this issue reinforced the idea of me still collection this title.

Plenty of cool subplots.

1.john henry and atlas!
2.Mon el and the science police
3.save that alien legionarie!
4.what is the prankster up to/
5.what is the parasite up to?
6.The Guardian is shining in this comic
7.Black lightning taking down the villains known as the untouchables:biggrin:
8.Zatarra and jimmy olsen subplot as well.

Robinson is making a cool little ongoing out of all these characters. I am really enjoying it.

Sure, Rucka's action comics is pretty much the best superman related title on the shelves but this is not too far behind.

No, I decided to hang in there when I learned that all the Superman titles would cross over in August. Fortunately, this issue is a big improvement over the previous one.

I really like this Mon-El chap, I can't wait to see what's up with his powers. Can anyone elaborate on who that alien/monster thing was in the containment tank? Also, who is that purple guy and why is Jimmy Olsen so curious about magic? Any ideas?

I was actually waiting for the tpb but couldn't rasist.

Purple guy is The Superman villain Parasite.

Parasite porbably siphons the magical powers of magicians and use it to drain Mon-El, Supergirl etc's powers from a distance. The creauter in the tube is next weak's monster to beat up, may be a monsterous clone of Guardian. I'm just guessing.

It was a ok read. I really like Zatara and Steel, my only concern, does Steel have to have facial expretions like mouth movement on his armored face... it's so cartoony to see facial expretions on an iron mask.

Both of you are wrong.

The creature in the tube is a member of the Legion of superheroes called TELLUS.

Like starman in the JSA, he probably has a mission from the future too!

Sounds ok. I think, this pretty much shows my knowlage about Legion.

I actually read this book because of Robinson,

Robinson + obscure characters = Awesome.

And i'm glad that some of those obscures are Steel and Zatara. Of couse i like the rest of them too.

Tellus is a member of the Legion of Super Heroes who has been around since 1985. Hard to say how he ended up back in the 21st century, but it probably has something to do with the events in the "Superman and the Legion of Super Heroes" story in action from last year. It said in that story that alot of the Legion members were missing or lost due to Earthman and his Justice League discredting and imprisoning the Legion. The funny thing is Tellus knows Mon-El since they were both members of the Legion at the same time, but the Mon-El appearing in this book will not know Tellus since they have not met yet since this is before Mon-El spent 1000 years in the phantom zone.

Steel isn't that obscure since he was in "52" in 2006-07 and then in "Infinity Inc." in 2007-2008. As well as the last issue of "Final Crisis". Not to mention the Superman books prior a few years back.

I like the idea of a team of outstanding, "normal" cops (plus one). Makes me wanna see Harvey Bullock join...as long as Robinson downplays that corrupt past bullshit.

Guardian's definitely talking about Dubbilex, right?

I thought the issue was ok. I love seeing Parasite lurk around, and I'm hoping the cops introduced here is the beginning of some solid characterization for the Science Police.

However, you know what really takes me out of the story? The random bolding. Its everywhere, and when I read it I cant help but emphasize the word thats in bold. It makes the dialogue even clunkier than it already is.
