I know we've seen this one before, and I believe it was pulled after the seller was told to do so, but what the heck....it's back!!!

Amazing.
Well CBM said it was a full time job trying to fend these fakes of, and by now I have no doubt she is absolutely right.
I have been dreaming of getting my hands on a original some day, but unless I meet Mike myself I do not think I will be able to confirm its legit. I will not dare buy online, thats for sure.

Instead of "For Steven" it should say "For Cash".

Full time job for CBM yes. And she does it admirably, with succes.
This horrific thing had appeared on eBay through a French seller when I 'reported' it on here, with dropping the fellow an email how this sketch was 'so unbelievable'.
A few weeks later, this Italian guy posted it for sale on Comicartfans.com, with a price tag of $500 .
I left a comment saying 'I believe it's a fake', with also contacting CAF about what to do when stumbling upon 'supposed' fakes. The fraudulous sketch vanished quickly enough, 'though from CAF (or the guy) I heard nothing.
I will report back should newly made (European) fakes pop up on eBay. 'Though as yet, since this is the same one from before (there were two French ones, of which I believe one got sold thru eBay at least) this doesn't seem to be the case.
Some silver lining.

There's really no reason to bother Christine with these, just report 'em to eBay and send the seller a message. Nothing else to be done.
This one is incredibly obvious. It's not a bad trace job but the style is incredibly inconsistent with what Mike normally does. I mean, honestly, the big scribble? Who you fooling?

It's pretty funny that the current bid is $1.25. I hope it stays that low. That's not even worth the effort of tracing it.

There's really no reason to bother C.
But we can bother us here can't we? I mean: I can bother you guys, right?
For questions of authenticity upon some possible one-off difficult Mignola-related purchase I mean?
'Cause yeah, I could really see the bothering bit...
But I feel asking about such to seem like more of the same (:frown::redface:).
And sending messages to sellers I (can) do. Reporting stuff to eBay.nl is NOT possible - only for copyright-owners / creators. And I'd hate to greet new people here, stoked on their piece, for having to say: ouch, what a killer...
Warning about such I can feel a personal obligation on occasion. My own one - nobody else's, mind you...

Oh, Kees, please do continue post these here. Constant vigilance, you know, is a good thing and I would hate for another Hellboy fan to be taken in by a dishonest seller. I think we can pick up the slack for creators, so they or their families don't have to spend their every waking hour clamping down on petty fraud.

Yeah, Kelly. That's what I was hoping for. And to have it be clear why I'd even post abaout or mention the fraudulous stuff. Not for hasslin'. Not anyone .
So allright then !

Is it just me or does that HB face look like Charlie Brown?

What's wrong with this sketch? Looks pretty good to me. Maybe it's just unusual marker or something, but I like the lines.

This got sold by the French seller "windtalker$", for EUR 140,- or $200.
On the 'Bay (with a very hazy pic): 52079.
Tracejob tree + a tracejob HB slabbed in front.
The maker of these makes the world less nice .

Nice how you commented Fred thru CAF, Nick. Would you know what stance CAF takes to fakes?
