What costume or character design do you think is better than any DC design you've ever seen? Also list reasons why you think that design is almost 'too good' or IS too good to be a DC design.

Spidey would be Marvel's best design, IMO. But this isn't limited to comics. Any character throughout fiction is included.

And sorry about that, but I really tried to find a better way to word it.

Funny, I feel the exact opposite. Spiderman's costume is one of my least favorite Marvel costume designs. The webbing is overly elaborate, and the colors are garish.

Actually, I want to know what you consider to be better. I want to know what specific character (ANY character, not just in comics) design you personally think beats out any of the designs in the collective DCU or DC Comics in general.

Based on what design elements? Is it character design? Costume design? Brand Identity (which would include logo and color palette)?

What range do you cover? Comics, Television, Movies, Novels, Computer Games, Mythology, Paintings?

Because not all fictional characters have costumes. Case in point... would you compare Batman to say, Atticus Finch, Hercule Poirot or Theseus, slayer of the Minotaur? Would you compare Jack Bauer to Mr. Terrific?

Spider-Man's black costume is a good design. It's simple and says who he is. Unfortunately, it was co-opted by Venom and he just ruins it. On the DC side, I would have to go with Nightwing. There is a common theme here, but simple is always best.

It's what it is. A lot of DC characters have some good designs. But what non-DC designs do you think are better?
