I've seen 5th graders write better and more interesting stories. This has been such a waste of money and time. There's been no reading or character value to this mini so far. What turns me off the most is Vanhook continues to narrate this. I don't buy comics to hear a writers thoughts, especially when they are generic and boring thoughts. I want to know why my characters are thinking or how else can you feel invested in them. This has been such a disappointing story with only one issue to go and to think Birds of Prey was cancelled, in part, to make way for this mini (and of course DC other plans). I hope DC figures it out really soon, and doesn't waste Barbara Gordon's character. Really all they needed to have done was relocate BOP back to Gotham with Oracle, BC, Huntress, and Lady Blackhawk and give the book back to Gail Simone or a writer like Fabian Nicieza.

I'm going to reserve final judgement until #3 appears.

What happened in it?

What happened in it?

Oracle goes to Hong Kong, gets mugged and knocked down, beats the crap out of some thugs, goes to these hackers "hangout", goes online, then The Calculator pops up and says he's coming for her. The End.

Nothing major happened at all.

I thought it was very plain, maybe a 5/10

Here's IGN's take.

Decent review.

All in all, I'd say this issue was a step or two down from the previous issue. At least I didn't find it as interesting. I'm afraid #3 is going to have to be a home run to redeem this particular mini. And maybe (hopefully) it will be, since DC has made grandiose claims about the conclusion.

My god, that was tiresome. What a waste of cash indeed, although i really hope this 'cure' is the anti-life equation giving Barbara her legs back. I don't care about continuity or revisionism, i just want Batgirl back for the modern age.

Is she walking yet or is still a no go?..

Now we're ripping off Mona Lisa Overdrive and Jurassic Park? That's just sad. And...

Is this an avatar...or am I just imagining that I have a body? - Oracle

It's a good thing Barbara looks good in a wet T-shirt, because...nnng.

I can only hope the next issue is better because this one seemed to decline after #1's buildup.

I think this issue was pretty good all around.

I don't really understand why Oracle has to fly to japan and why she can't afford a taxi and an umbrella.

Art is nice in the classic modern Dc way.

I have a feeling the anti-life equation is going to cure Oracle's legs.

I was pretty disappointed with the issue. Art was really good but the story just sucked. I did like the begining where she beat the 3 muggers but after that it took a nose dive for me.

It wasn't a very eventful issue, but I do like Van Hook's style. And I feel that its going to end up being one of the better Oracle stories. We'll see I guess.
