Green Lantern Reading order

Hey guys,

Decided I want to start GL and get caught up in time for Blackest Night, but i don't know the reading order to get caught up to issue 39. I'm a marvel guy, so i went to my LCS today expecting to find trades with the issue numbers on the back to no avail. Any help would be awesome. And, i am referring to the Geoff Johns GL. thanks a lot.

Ive been a Marvel fan and thats one of the things i like about marvel how in the back it says the issues so you dont get so confuised and this DC stuff is pretty hard when youve never read alot of DC stuff before.

I really want to get into DC but its just soo hard when u havnt read alot of the stories from back then and to top it off they have no issue numbers in the back on the hardcover books.

To avoid confusion, you can go to www.comicbookdb.com to find listings of every issue of every series and the paperbacks and hardcovers, and, more importantly, what issues each collection contains.

I've taken to looking on the inside, it'll tell you what issues are collected. It's the small print on the page with all the CEO names and such.

That drives me nuts, too. I'm glad to have the internet on my phone so I can check ComicBookDB for that information before I leave a store.

That's NORMALLY the easiest way, but more and more frequently these days (especially with the hardcovers), they're coming shrink wrapped and a lot of stores won't let you open them until you've bought them. That's why, as a rule, I think issue numbers should be printed on the back of trades and HCs.

They were released a while ago, but the first paperback is out 29 April.

I hate this practice of delaying the paperbacks. Comics in hardcovers is so tacky(except with Absolutes and old recolored collections like Frank Miller's Daredevil or DC Archives series).

I'm basically looking to get it all(Everything involved with Geoffs current GL), and am kicking myself now for not jumping on earlier in the run... Any help would be appreciated...
