Ollie rebuffs Cupid after refusing to kill for her. Then poor Ollie is chained to the train tracks and needs to be rescued by BC (hope this helps even the score for some) I am not sold on Cupid as a villian but she is still raw material at this point.

Looking forward to BC facing off against Discord ( I think that will be his name)

Some very obvious foreshadowing to the new JL book including a very odd promo pic on the last page.

promo pic might be incorrect it is an ad/monlty column for the JL series with an odd pic of the team, well of supergirl in particular. Now scanner sorry just flip to the last page.

Oh God, the resolution to that scene was plain awful. Ignoring Kreisberg's continued retcon on the usefulness of the Canary Cry, the most logical solution for Black Canary in that situation was for her to carry her own set of lockpicks and use them. Her actual method for "rescuing" Ollie was just dumb.

Is it my imagination or did Ollie get STABBED RIGHT IN THE CHEST and then... nothing? I'm pretty sure when you get stabbed in the chest there's supposed to be a "and then..." to it. But hey, I'm not a doctor. Maybe all my years of watching violence on tv has given me the unrealistic expectation that getting stabbed is something one might... notice.

Merlyn was humiliated and Brick was killed to elevate this villain for this? Give me a break. The concept behind Cupid was fine for a Green Arrow villain, but the execution of her development has been ridiculous every step of the way. And killing Brick? Killing one of Ollie's painfully few worthwhile villains? So freaking stupid. I hope another writer comes along and fixes that. Come on. How do you take a pulse on that guy? Just bring him back. Killing him for this crap is not something for future writers to respect.

Oh, and the nonstop train to Gotham? Did Star City move again? Because that's one hell of a nonstop train ride to go coast to coast like that.

I know it's popular around here to hate on Winick. But seriously... this was an entertaining title once. It had a supporting cast. It had fun and emotion. And it did have its faults too. But it was so much better than this.

Without having read the issue...and trying to come to the grips with the existential crisis caused by citing something of Gail Simone's in a positive fashion...Black Canary has been carrying since Birds of Prey #60. She had Scott Free make her a pair to hide in her gloves after Savant kidnapped her.

Now, if you'll pardon, I need to find a bag to hyperventilate into, because the world no longer makes any sense!

that was dumb it makes since she would have some tools herself( where she would hide them I don't kow but some stuff)

The Stab would was in the upper shoulder hurt like hell but it would be a while before he keeled over.

The cry would not have been very useful in that spot.

Brick should and I expect will be back before long.

It was towards the shoulder but still definitely in the chest. I'm not saying it should have killed him or anything but... something? Not only does it not hinder or pain him in any way for the rest of the book, but three pages later the wound has DISAPPEARED. No wound, no blood, no torn shirt. For the whole rest of the issue, Ollie is neither written or drawn as if he just got stabbed rather deeply with a knife.
